Also there are ways to reduce your max speed.

It's you who want all miners out.

Web in medium power slot does indeed do good for already nonexistent tank.

Don't need a tank if you're aligned.

More than enough if you tank it.

14k EHP < 18k-20k damage

Where are you getting 20k damage for a solo gank?

Now would be interesting to know where you put all that ore (10k+ m3 of it) when Orca can't keep up at that speed.
Setting aside for a second that Orcas have no problem keeping up with the speed, they also have this nifty little bonus that makes it completely redundant to do so.

You can't warp when you're warp scrambled.

So let's say 40km (and you're way off-centre by then). 40km @ 66 m/s = 10 minutes = 3⅓ cycles.

Orca's get Tractor bonuses.

You don't get tackled if you're aligned, either.

You can't warp scramble something that is no longer there.

Oh, and by the way:

This is still as wrong as always. If you're going to comment on something, comment on it rather than make up something completely different based on a bad acid dream you once had.

The fact remains, in 0.7 and up, a Covetor with a simple suitcase will have 10k EHP, which is more than enough to survive the 7k damage a solo destroyer can deliver.

Just needs max skilled pilot and even then it's barely enough (66,75 m/s).

In other words, it has no problems keeping up, and it doesn't need to to begin with.

This right here.

Yes - This game isn't a sandbox or anything - The argument for Hulkageddon has nothing to do with "emergent gameplay (aka sandbox) component, We should only use ships to the narrow definition provided in the show Info...

So, Concord respawn time is 10 seconds now. That's 1.0 space btw.

In 0.7, it is.
In 1.0, it's somewhere in the region of 6 seconds.

1.0 space is 7s. .7 space is 10s.

Tractor Beams. Reload on a Jetcan is 2m, cycle time on strips is 3m. Jetcan each cycle.

I had this weird memory flash of a wild life documentary I once saw where Hul... fish swim in a large group to protect themselves from Sharks. If sharks jump in most of the fish survive because the shark can only get that many fish between their teeth.

If miners would organize themselves, which will probably not happen but whatever, would the above be a valuable tactic?

Tractor beams. If something's in range to flip, don't eject.

For a little while. But then someone'll bring an organized gank fleet.

And there goes again your organized 'defensive fleet'.
