Shield Buffing Service Questions

So, I was considering the state of the game with indefinite Hulkageddon and was considering the possibility of a Shield Buffing service or high sec miners. One of the factors (problems) with protecting oneself from a high sec gank attack is that no matter the tank, with enough preparation, any amount of tank can be overcome. Typically, a scout with a passive scanner can determine the fittings of a Hulk, an estimated necessary DPS needed compared to est. EHP and security status of the system can be determined and the attack executed. As long as the attackers have perfect information, and execute without mistake on the players actions, the attack will succeed.

So, I was thinking of removing the perfect information factor. I am currently an Orca and Damnation pilot currently able to boost multiple wings. In my experience, an off grid booster could significantly increase the tank of a properly fitted (ie tank not cargo) Hulk causing an underestimation of needed DPS and spectacular failure on the part of the attackers.

Now, in my opinion a Vulture pilot would be best for this job, but I am more interested in what other miners would think of a service such as this:

For an hourly fee, per vessel you want protection on, you and yours are invited into a fleet an receive top-notch shield boosting from an off grid Command Vessel. Not a guarantee of gank immunity, but a better chance at survival, considering attackers would likely under estimate the firepower needed to destroy your property.

Possibly as well, a secondary vessel to respond to attacks and either recover attackers modules/salvage for spoils, or to recover the remains and salvage of your vessel as well as the attackers, should the attackers over commit and actually succeed in destroying your vessel.

Some problems might be spies joining fleet for warp-to information or lists of people currently in fleet getting protection (thus who the gankers need to bring more gun too.) This part would have to be maintained by vetting clients. Still considering some security concerns.

Anyhow, just a thought in progress. I'd like to hear opinions you all might have of such a service or if anyone knows of others providing similar.

Thanks,

Probably the main concern of miners considering employing your services would be that it was a clever trap by gankers. Other than that it sounds like a possible business opportunity for those with the skills and equipment to do it.

Tengu

Can have 6 links running at same time if fitted poperly, else 3-4 links with a hard to scan down fit.
