He sounds like the guy from Netflix- "I screwed up, I'm bad, we didn't listen to you" but then no actual details about what they are gonna do to change. Just lots of "I'm sorry"...

How about taking a clue from other successful MMO companies and list upcoming features for the next update? How about using the test server to evaluate player reaction too, instead of just function.

Some of the other companies have the next content available for months on their test server and make multiple changes before its finally rolled out. No sudden surprises there... sure some content should be 'unveiled', but there is plenty of mechanics type stuff that doesn't need to be secret.

EDIT- posted this before 2nd blog link, but I'll just say that I'll believe it when I see it.

So when a CSM cross posts to blogs it's ok, but when a normal player does, it gets locked?

It's tough to grow up and realize the world isn't always fair.

...clearly the Ishukone Watch Scorpion is the fifth horseman of the Apocalypse, i.e. the Brown Rider, otherwise known as Poopie.

Wow, the emotion in Hilmar's blog is tangible. Well done and well said, Sir.
It takes a mature mind to understand their mistakes and wisdom to actually acknowledge the latter, as well as to offer an insight into the corrective actions to be undertaken.

You will always have your detractors, Hilmar, but I for one salute you - and the rest of CCP, for putting your cards on the table, all face up.

Thank you and keep your faith in Eve alive.

We, the players, invade Iceland, conquer it, and pillage the land/economy to get CCP more FiS resources.

edit: Errr, wait. How many alts comprise the sub count?

Thank you for the heads up.

EDIT:

The following speaks leaps and bounds abuot the current mind set of CCP Hellmar and my hope is renewed.

This one's ok. Relax.

I hope they'll allow discussion with the community of any drastically game-altering ideas, such as resource redistribution, which can have far greater reaching cause and effect than may appear on the surface.

BAM! agree 100% with above. I have been playing this game since 2006 and NOT ONCE have you come to me and ask, why are you still paying $15 a month for over 5 years (longer than my marriage)? What do you like, what don't you like?

July 2006 to October 5 2011 = $15/month @ 150 months = $2,250, not including my other account and the occasional time card.

One would think people like me have some input. My company does that with it's loyal customers, why is yours so different. Same mistake Netflix made.

Get a list of crap that needs fixing and FIX THEM. I don't give a crap about seeing my toon in some station. I don't care what the hell he looks like to other people. Figure out who your veteran players are, spend some time with them to figure out what is working and what isn't and fraking put a plan together.

And don't send out another "pitty me" post. I don't care about how you feel you let yourself down and how sorry you feel about it, just fix it.

CSM6 was working behind the scenes and being admittedly cryptic with all of you, in tandem with CCP to be able to bring you these blogs and these updates.
