Why no browser based ship fitting tool?

Why hasn't CCP added a browser based ship fitting tool to EVE Gate? Why do we have to rely on 3rd party apps that have the potential to mess with our comps?

Would you use browser based ship fitting tool?

Any app CCP would develop for this would be super accurate with every variable, so that would be awesome. It would always instantly be up to date.

Do it CCP, more browser integration!

I've had far less issues with my computer running EFT than I've had with running EVE... just sayin'

Has anyone else noticed that the numbers the in-game fitter gives are not the same as EFT/EVEHQ/Pyfa give?

Inappropriate signature removed, CCP Phantom.

Pretty much everyone has.

Is it any particular discrepancy you're wondering about?

Just pointing it out for people who want a CCP provided fitting tool.

It's not like the in-game numbers are wrong.

i always thought a fitting tool that lets you select modules straight from market should have been implemented from the start (esp before eft and quickfit etc.)

not browser based but an actual tool in the eve menu.

Because it's hard and nobody's done it yet. CCP won't do it, since they appear to be chronically bad at making any good fitting tool. Will you make the website?

Let CCP fix their game first before wasting time on tools already available out there.
