What is this supposedly based off of? Its NEVER right.
What the hell is the point of an estimate thats always off?
And Im not talking "oh it was off 500 isk" Im talking off by 90% of the worth
"estimated price 300,000" then when you try to sell it "900.00"

I figure it is based off the same values as insurance, so an eve wide, weighted average, updated every X months.

(The numbers look like they are from the end of March I think)

Also, are you right click selling, or using sell orders, and are you selling in a hub, or to a region wide buy order?

These factors also affect the price.

- To waste more of your limited screen estate

- To make you take the wrong decisions

- To make you post on the forums. CCP trolls best trolls.

Just because someone has a cheap buy order set up does not mean you need to sell it for that price.

By placing a sell order rather than selling to the highest buy order. In my experience the numbers aren't fantastically off (maybe 25%) and probably do follow the same type of formula (and lag) as insurance payouts. It's helpful if you want to be able to quickly glance at a ballpark figure, otherwise check the market yourself.
