I haven't gotten that impression from all their doom-and-gloom threads the last few days! Lol

As you should know, appearances can be deceaving. I would not be surprised that more high sec miners continue to operate then ever before.

Those fiendishly clever miners...They wanted permanent Hulkageddon all along...To draw us in...And that's when they strike! Shocked

I can assure you that the mittani does not want to break Eve. There is always a metagame going on that you simply cannot recognize.

However, where your hypothetical goes off the rails is just there. He doesn't want to break Eve at all. He wants to ruin YOUR game, not THE game. There will always be new players literally flooding in. They will hear the stories and HTFU, or not, but either way, he, the GSF, nor the CFC plan on ruining OUR game.

Hope this clears it up for you, though I doubt it will.

The important thing right now is that we work together to get rid of the highsec miners. Let's not get distracted with other things. Once the highsec miners are gone, we can worry about what comes next.

Being a fairly new player, what is wrong with the high sec miners? Just curious.

I'm new here myself, but as I understand it, some view high-sec mining as generally not fitting the philosophy of EVE.

The EVE play experience is intended to be a harsh and unforgiving one where players must assume a certain amount of risk in order to be rewarded. Traditionally, high security mining means getting a steady flow of income while being semi-AFK. Hulkageddon adds risk to high security mining while rewarding those willing to team up to gank ships.

As such, you can see it as a form of social engineering.

There are likely economic incentives behind Hulkageddon - people mining in low and null sec their minerals become more valuable - and Goonswarm likely enjoys being the talk all over town, but that seems to be the heart of it.

Nothing. What's wrong is that as new player you are reading General Discussion.

It's possibly the most psychotic, bitter, deviant, pathetic (and unmoderated) forum ever created for any product of all time. Even worse than WoW's.
Here you will daily find open apologies to WW2 dictators, death wishes put on top of whole categories and so on. All egregiously unmoderated.

If you want to keep your sanity you might want to close this forum now and never open it again.

Yeah, because the rest of the world forums disallow expressing opinions Roll.

Oh wait, they disallow saying the opinion like a douche, that's it.

Its not that i like Goons, but miners whine more then everyone else in this community combined.
A lot of miners are bots, they dont have to admit it and people dont care.

This is a game to be played, you wanna tell us that from 5.5k systems and 2k WH + roids in missions and exploration, you cant find a safe pocket away from gankers to mine in peace??

Its a sandbox game, you play with other people, they kill you or help you on their own, wanna have a safe environment to play? Find another game.

Or...
Stay aligned, keep an eye on local, dont AFK mine, ect...

1) Bots don't post on the forums.
2) Those who own the bots run 8+ ships at the same time and have constant replacements ready. Their business does not rely on bots staying alive but from bots quickly getting back to mine.
3) The worst botters aka RMTers not only don't post on the forums but they live in 0.0, where nobody see them, nobody report them and their renting alliance wink at their illicit activities while cashing in good money.
