so.. unproabable? how?

hej guys,

sometimes i use a loki alt on a safespot but im curious now if there is still an option to be unproabable. I think there was an formula of 1:1.2 Sigradius:sensorstrengh. But i heard this isnt correct anymore.

So how is it going today? Do we need Implants? OR Drugs?

Pretty sure nothing is unprobable anymore. I can find anything I looked for on my alt as well, just need to spend a few ISK on some implants.

so there is no formula how this works?

i can get my loki to 300sensor strengh with only 56.8sigradius.. so this still probeable?

Somwhere there must be more information :D

There are a minimum value so the sig res/sensor strength that you scan size will be set to if you are below that value. I don't remember the exact value but shouldn't be too hard to dig up.

You can't be unprobable (without a cloak).

you can be hard to probe (high sensor vs sig radius).

Hard can mean unprobable to lower skills with no implants.

Aside from it being hard to be caught, simply keep aligned and warp out when anything appears on your overview. Outside of times where your focus is fixed on keeping your 'active' character alive you should never lose a link ship.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the reason no ship fit is unprobeable now is because CCP changed the scanning mechanics.

Basically, all probes (up to 7) now contribute to scan strength, whereas previously scan strength was calculated from the four best probe results. So the scanner's sig strength is effectively buffed by up to 75%.

A standard octahedral 'diamond' probe formation needs Astrometrics 5, but apart from that as long as you have reasonable scanning skills and you're flying a scan-buffing ship you'll eventually get a lock.

^^this

the old "unprobable" fits are still almost unprobable. You need a max skill covops/prober T3 with perfect scanning skills, sisters probes/launcher and a virtue set to scan down the old "unprobable" fits.
