1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Armor HP bonus: 4,200HP
CPU: 28tf
Powergrid: 500MW

1600mm Reinforced Steel Plates II
Armor HP bonus: 4,200HP
CPU: 33tf
Powergrid: 575MW

So my question is why the t2 has the same amount of armor hp bonus but takes more cpu and powergrid.

I can provide pictures if required

It is produce-able, not dependent on PvEers to supply the market.

But yes, the T2 vs. Meta 4 comparison not being consistent is weird.

T2 isn't always better than Meta 4.

It is, however, almost always cheaper (as it doesn't depend on drop rates). You'll find a bunch of places where it isn't.

As with all things in eve, the thing to bear in mind is: 'it depends'. There are no hard and fast rules. Go take a look at the EANMs and Adaptive plates. Compare the meta 4s (and their prices. you'll find people don't compare things)

Woo! CSM XI!

The search function: it works.

Seriously, this exact thread comes up every ~3 months. A productive suggestion that's come up before is to link the T2 plates to a skill that reduces mass addition. We shall see if it goes anywhere.

Why you would need to spend Powergrid/CPU to use simple armor plating in the first place is beyond me.

Space. It seems to go on and on forever. But then you get to the end and a gorilla starts throwing barrels at you.
