Perma-Dec

My corp has been perma-dec'ed by some random 2 person corp. (going on 2 months). They are rarely on and never engage unless they catch one of our noobs (which has happened twice in about 2 months). If we do catch them on, they dock up and don't come out - obviously they are off playing on a second account or getting lunch. They do not respond or communicate with us. The mere fact that we are at war detracts from recruitment, though honestly that's about the extent of the effect it has on us. It is a laughable annoyance which we basically ignore, but somehow seems wrong that this can happen, and that there is no counter.

Any useful suggestions would be appreciated. Troll-posts are ok also, but only if they are amusing - not dumb stuff like 'u mad bro' and 'can i haz your stuff'! Put a little effort into it.

The options i can think this early in the morning are fight dirty, surrender, hire mercs. or to drop to an npc corp for a week or so. Now would be a good time to think about whether or not you can run a corp proper. Nothing bad intended.

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

Fill your corp roster with blank alts (ie. the other 2 slots on account) .. get number high enough and it starts costing the lazies more ISK.

Bloat is the new Dec shield. Love it, or hate .. whatever floats your boat .. but abuse the snot out of it.

Buddy Accounts are your friends.

Anyway, AFAIK, this isn't an exploit yet.

How do you fight someone who is rarely on and doesn't seem to want to fight? Why hire mercs? This is a nuisance, not a threat. Same with joining an npc corp. I think maybe you didn't really 'get' my issue here. We'd welcome fights, or interaction of almost any kind. It just seems weird that we have to permanently be 'at war' for no apparent reason.

Is that the answer? Load up the corp with worthless alts just to game the system? I guess we'll do that, but it seems kind of ridiculous.

Fill your corp up with alts and start a recruiting drive.

Making yourself more expensive to dec is the only defense against decs anymore.

Also consider joining an alliance (which every member in the alliance counts towards the wardec cost).

You can also drop corp, disband corp, and reform a new corp with the similar/same name and ticker. Dec slipped, no problem.

Indeed. In the future, I caution you against attempting to apply common sense to this game's mechanics.

Petition it to CCP as bullying. Either they fight or the quit the wardeck!!

BTA might work as a new home for you, we accept corps with more than 30 members, send me a mail if interested and we can have a chat about it.

From OP, they've lost some ships, so the attacking corp has fought.

Keep those two as a way to train your rookies to be a little cautious. The rookies shouldn't fly expensive stuff, if they cannot use the watch list and local chat for intel anyway. And if they are cautious, then there is no problem. All small stuff can be replaced easily.

Oh and and add them to your watchlist, atleast you will see when they are online and then run agent lcoators on them to see where they are and then get a claoky or npc scout on them

I'd check on their corp accounts and see who they have been
transfering /receiving contracts from...might give an insight
into who they really are.

At which point you can punish them!

Through to be honest, being at war with somebody is good
because it keeps all the weak sisters away and gives your
corps something to train around,

Strictly speaking, it sounds like you're doing fine - just teach your new players to watch local for war targets, and to report in corp when they see war targets. If it becomes more of a problem, you could even organize to scout where these two people are, as there are plenty of tools to know whether or not two people are a threat to you.

Another option is to open your corp up to allies. Plenty of people will join your war for free for more targets to shoot.

I guess what I'm saying is I don't see how you have a problem.

Step 1: advertise your war for allies
Step 2: Accept any offer which comes with 0 ISK fee
Step 3: wait 7 days for them to get a bill
Step 4: Join an alliance to jack the fees up even more
Step 5: ??
Step 6: Profit!
