W-space is as fun as you make it. If you want to blap random Drakes and shoot structures while hoping that their cap fleet is smaller than your cap fleet, null k-space is for you. If you'd rather spend the time hunting and rolling, its way the **** better.

I was on vacation for 8 days in May and still managed to do over 5 billion ISK in damage. There are a wide range of skill levels and play styles in W space, from hard core PVPers to idiot carebears who act like they are in high sec (love to shoot them in the face). I play a few hours a day during the week, and a little more on the weekends. You could do what we do: Get into Stealth Bombers, scan down worm holes, and go diving in to them cloaked looking for targets. You could definitely get your PVP on without a huge investment in time.

I came back from vacation a few days ago and was too late to get in on a low sec / NPC null AHAC roam that the alliance was going on, so I just camped our high sec wormhole and listened to the op on Team Speak. In the two hours I was online I ran one guy out of our C2, and took out a Heron and the podded the pilot. I ended up seeing more action than the guys on the roam...

Sandbox: An enclosed area filled with sand for children engaged in open-ended, unstructured, imaginative play. Also a place for cats to urinate and defecate...

Stop flying about in your shitfest blobs then.

You might not find a lot of engagable solo pvp in WH space but from the nullsec you are living in there is C5's, LOTS of them...c5's have plenty of nullsecs spawn in them or plenty of outbound.

Fastest way to get out of the blueclusterfuck of fail your living in to go pvp.

So the part of Eve i really like is lawless space, i go into high sec occasionally for money, or to park my arse when i am inactive.. but i much prefer 0.0 to high sec ... well because i like shooting **** :P

the problem i had with 0.0 space is that it would eat my life 6+ hour fleet ops to find absolutely nothing to shoot .. or 6+ fleet op where were get to shoot only a few things.

how does w-space compare? can you get away with just playing for a few hours here or there.. get some pew pew in, or maybe some sites if there isn't any easily accessible enemy activity around?

well it depends... wh's are more profitable if u know how to work them but their very corp trust based an i found wh corps are super paranoid cuz of not being able to dock ships n anyone can steal them easily. 0.0 if ure in a big alliance like my main (not cfc so hault flaming lol) its better for op's and social part n such

QUI i realize that yours and my idea of a blob are two different things however w-space has become more popular since the hayday of CCRES however it is still fairly small gangs nothing compared to the blob fest of 0.0 their idea of a fairly small to medium fleet is our idea of a massive fleet. it's time to move on w-space has changed it will never be how it was before.

If you think there arent enough targets in nullsec, you should stay well clear of WHs.
Theyre more about the thrill of the hunt than the actual fight.

If youre the kind of guy who sticks around for 8 hours to get a covops kill with a well laid trap EG, then theyre perfect for you.
If you just want to log on for an hour and go roam around and blow some **** up and get blown up, join red vs. blue or stay in null.

Jack is right.

The other angle on this is that WH corps don't want a guy who logs on and says "whats happening?" -- we want people to log on and be able to help make it happen. You'll not be appreciated if your contribution doesn't ever extend beyond X'ing up for whatever someone else has going on.

Hunting for target(s) in WHs can take hours, and it's work the whole time (rolling statics, scanning, waiting around watching Dscan) -- and sometimes the PVP isn't anything fun, like needing to camp and trap someone's scan alt for 5 hours.

Overall it sounds like you want something like faction warfare or RvB -- potentially the former if you want to make ISK.

n.b. the whole "no blobs" thing is an outright myth; you're just less likely to encounter them, as you are less likely to encounter anyone at all.

Your 10man roaming BC gang does about as well against 20 T3's with Guardian support as you would against 6 supercaps.

What IS true, is that you can plan for this and anticipate it, and you can win the rock-paper-scissors game since the other guy can't press F5 for a cyno.

roam 0.0 is pretty fun unless you don't know what you're doing and die right after you jump your first gate!!!!!

I can spend about 2 hours going from high sec to high sec and finding holes to pop in. I can usually find action in atleast 2 of the holes i find. Most of the time you find empty pos.. but sometimes you hit gold and see wrecks on scan.

Sometimes you see ships but they are just pos'ed up with pilots in them.. and if your with a crew.. time to bait with an alt.

For solo pvp, i have much more fun in w-holes

I love that pic too. But W-space has clearly moved more towards 0.0, with less free for all. Way too much co-operation between the big boys, and too much alliance level rather then corp level action, for that pic to hold true anymore.

Tchh. Like any old codger I will smoke my pipe in my rocking chair and tell the whippersnappers to get off my lawn, and how everything was better in the good old days. Why would you take issue with this?
Just because I may have to eventually adapt to the new blobby nature of high class w-space ;) doesn't mean I can't call 'em as I sees them.

Khan'rs-something, now he's got the jist of it in post #33, and that is how the difference should be explained.

noone wants to be outgunned, outnumbered, that's why we see wh fleet getting bigger and bigger

prop to russian first cus they never bring any fleet smaller than 20

last time I saw Starbridge, they brought 35 guys to fight 7,8 guys from Insidious Design. the only thing we could do back there is team up with insidious design or else we'll be blobbed 3:1

that'd answer your concern, Qui
