Hey all! I was wondering, from your own personal experience, how much faster a daredevil webbing alt makes trips in a freighter go?

Thanks!

nothing of any great difference. Most of the time is still wrapped up in the locking and module activation time that you wont notice that much of an increase in time.. But that's just me.

Best combo in my opinion is Freighter and a Rapier. with navy webs the Rapier can hit the freighter at over 40km so even on empire gates the Freighter is usually in range without moving or barely having to move.

Speeds it up a lot imho, but it's kind of fiddly to work through.

Triple Web + AB rifter is cheaper and just as good as a Daredevil or Rapier. You have to wait until the freighter has a little bit of speed anyway, so burning in isn't a big deal.

Freighters spend a lot more more time in warp than getting up to velocity to enter warp.

The webber ( if not in a web range bonused ship) needs a MWD to get close enough to web. By the time the webber gets there, the freighter usually has enough speed to warp instantly by beeing webbed by a single web.

The webber needs to wait for the agression timer to finish. On short trips to the next gate, less than 25Au, the freighter arrives before the webber could jump.
I like to use the webber as a scout who takes a look into the next system before the freighter jumps in.

might as well use any cheap frigate to be honest

I've used anything from Slasher to Huginn's (my ship of choice, 4 webbers will do 2 freighters, and a good range too)

A lot of it depends on the journey and how many short jumps there are, as you'll spend ages waiting for the annoying "The stargate won't let you jump due to recent aggression" message for the webbing ship.

So it's a judgement call, I reckon anything over 25ish au freighter warp is ok, you won't have to wait long for the webber to be able to jump through.

It saves a bit of time, but I'm not sure how much, I've never actually sat there and worked it out.

Most of the time if it's a jita run for me, I don't bother, just fly the freighter manually, there's a few shortish jumps.
