Has Hatred gone too far CCP?

Miners mad at gankers.
Gankers mad at miners.

I personally don't care what either side thinks. However it's apparent that there's a very strong surge of hate against a certain community within EvE that in general I do not consider healthy for EvE as a game. Now miners are responding with counter-hate threads. Soon we'll all be cursing and swearing at each other because of...real hate over a fake video game.

We will all start to look ridiculous to outsiders who just started the game or were looking at the forums to decide whether or not to give it a try.

In all honesty Goonswarm, gank away. However, at least tell people it's for your Tech profits and not to "RID THE WORLD OF OF THE HEATHEN AFK MINERS" "HATE THEM" "BLAME THEM" "PERSECUTE THEM" "KILL THEM"

Why don't we rid the world of AFK mission runners and 0.01 ISK bots and jump freighters (yes there are bots that YOU NULL BEARS USE FOR JUMP FREIGHTING, MOON GOO AND EVEN YOU INTEL CHANNELS/AFK Cloakers). We don't rid the world of them because the EFFECT of their destruction does not generate a mathematically stable source of Tech income. This proves you are only ganking Hulks for Tech and not for this new religious movement of purging EvE of afk income earners.

However, you're overtly creating hatred in a manner which shouldn't be tolerated in any video GAME (or REAL LIFE) no matter what the game is supposed to be about.

Go ahead and gank the miners to oblivion, but don't become hate merchants at the same time. I am ashamed that CCP has let you guys go that far.

This level of hate is bad for the community and should not be tolerated.


I'm not going to place blame on the miners for this hate-fest because you guys are the ones that zealously promoted the hate to begin with.

Step 2: collect goon tears
Step 3: profit


a better tanked hulk [in terms buffer] ruins a gankbears day... but can still be blown up in more legitimate warfare, and can still be taken out of pimped out with shiny mods or has a hold full of valuables.

suicide ganks are a legitimate tactic, that is being abused to death.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

More like some miners don't want to be gankable, and some people enjoy ganking.

As to the hatred, I think CCP should be applauded for not censoring these boards to heavily. All games have hate but this is one of the few games you can actually vent in. Especially as they consider these boards part of the game. (Unless you use RL references)

Also it gives people a good reference that EvE is not a game for the weak hearted.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

It's simply that no one reports them because only the elite of EvE utilizes them. The elite isn't going to rat itself out no more than they wanted Titan nerfs.

It is all about the tears, nothing is more valuable than ganker tears. :)

But i would like to point out, there is actually lots of civilized discussions and even some "goons" have made decent and respectable responses to threads.

But yes, alot of people just like to blast out the hate because its just easier than making a thought out response.

I don't see any hate. What I see is conflict. Unfortunately, it does seem a bit one sided in that one group is considerably more organized and has considerable income while the other either doesn't know how or refuses to organize, adapt, and defend themselves.

Conflict is good for Eve. It drives the story.

I would expect the Goonies to be the first to fear this accusation, although admittedly TEST has this problem more than you guys.


I however don't consider it a problem to be honest, JF bots are part of the game that make life easier for everybody.

Now, now. We can't actually expect them to do anything that would cut into the amount of ore they can hold by using slots to actually improve thier ability to not get blown up. That woudl be stupid. They have "ISK PER HOUR!!!" to consider.

We all know that CCP intended mining to be done solo. That's why they actually have support skills and ships designed specifically to improve mining in a fleet, because it's intended to be done alone.

Can't expect a miner to have someone hauling ore for them while they tank thier hulks, that would be such a waste of slots that would be better suited to filling with cargo expanders.

Common sense is a bannable offense in EVE.

Nobody who isn't absolutely dumb would bot a JF considering that it costs 10 times as much as a freighter, generally carries cargo worth far more than the JF itself and must fly through lowsec systems to reach hisec.

On the other hand, how do you think your favorite hisec freight services are so cheap?
