Caldari AT Prize Cruiser

-it it stated that the Caldari prize for Alliance Tournament X will be an upgraded Osprey logistics hull.
This makes me wonder two things:
Why is this ship not based off of the tier four cruiser, the Moa, like the rest of the AT cruisers?
Why is this ship a logistics platform, as opposed to a DPS platform, like the rest of the AT cruisers?

(also tiericide will hopefully make all cruisers equal anyway)

Because a Moa is not a Logi Platform.
And Because CCP Wanted to do something Unique.
Think of it this way: Compare a Mimir/Adrestia/Vangel to a Loki/Proteus/Legion with similar Weapon systems: The Tech 3 is better in most ways, and thats before considering their versatility.
Now Consider this: The Etana is very likely to be like a Basilisk that can fit a Covops Cloak. Compare this to a Shield Transfer/Covops Tengu and I can just about guarantee you the Etana will be better.
Plus, it can conceivably be used without insane risk.

Not like it matters what the prizes do. No one is gonna ******* use them anyways. Allthough the 2nd place prize sounds like it mite be a fun solo boat (if you dont get blobbed to hell and back)

Why should anyone care ... those ships wont be ever seen ... unless the winners decide to be totally boss and field them in the next tournament. (Frekis anyone)

Alliance Tournament Prizes are supposed to be overpowered compared to the Ships they are based on because their is a finite number of them given out.

CCP asked the Devs to come up with an OP platform that used medium railguns. Several attempted large role bonuses and 3 Dev frustration suicides later they announced a new Logistics platform.

we saw mimir and adrestia in action - in pvp (small gang and solo).... but i cant imagine anyone will use a supercapital-price-logistic in pvp...

Some get used. Garmon has used and lost two Adresdias iirc. Also some Frekki been used I think, in the lat AT.

You can always use them on SiSi. Granted they'll get blown up really quickly but you'll get them back next mirror anyway (assuming you don't lose it on TQ as well) so you don't really lose anything.

Im pretty sure no one wanted a superook hull pawning left and right, but a logi AT reward wowzers that really sucks im not bothered im not in the tourny now :D
