Hey guys!

So i'm new to the game and pvp. I'm gallente with no shield skills. I'll have heavy neutron II's in a few days so I'm looking to go blow up my thorax. Can someone recommend a standard fit I can go off of for solo pvp (i looked at battleclinic but there wasnt a lot of options)?

Thanks :)

An Armor Thorax usually goes Electrons, ACR Rig, 1600mm Plate. The number of EANM vs Damage mod is to taste.

[Thorax, Tank]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Damage Control II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

Experimental 10MN MicroWarpdrive I
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator

Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M

Medium Ancillary Current Router I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I

[Thorax, Mix]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Damage Control II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

[Thorax, Gank]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Damage Control II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

I use the Tank fit personally.

[Thorax, Shield Gank]
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Tracking Enhancer II
Tracking Enhancer II
Damage Control II

Large Shield Extender II
Experimental 10MN MicroWarpdrive I
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I

Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M

Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Medium Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I
Medium Ancillary Current Router I

Their are various approaches such as Speed Mods, more Damage Mods, RCU freeing up Rig Space. Really there are many ways to rework the setup.

I didn't include Drones. Medium Drones are High Damage while Lights target Frigates primarily. If you go medium you only have room for one flight.

Something else I should mention about the Thorax. It is generally considered the most dangerous Combat Cruiser at point blank range. The Electron 1600mm Thorax does markedly more DPS then a 1600mm Plate, 220mm Auto Rupture and the Shield Neutron version in range does more then Shield Ruptures period.

For this reason in small gangs they tend to be called primary a lot. Their powerful Guns are only good at fist fight range and most smart FC's try to have them taken out before they get their or do to much damage. That is the reason I tank fit mine. It is the same with Thrashers and Catalyst who do high DPS with minimal tank.

I like flying them but if you want an effective Armor Cruiser a little lower on the kill me list this is a good one.

[Vexor, Heavy]
Damage Control II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I

Experimental 10MN MicroWarpdrive I
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator

Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Small Energy Neutralizer II

Medium Trimark Armor Pump I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I

Hammerhead II x5
Warrior II x5
Hornet EC-300 x5

It has about as much DPS as a Rupture does. The small Guns require driving up ultra close but the majority of its DPS is from bonused Hammerhead II's which gives it the option of hitting targets at long range without the approach. It makes it a valuable small fleet Cruiser. As well the drone Damage Bonus with Warrior II's Neutralizer and S Blasters makes it an effective Frigate killer as well.

Just another option to consider.

Niccccccce thx for the vexor fit too! Big smile

Ya i'll be going solo so if I run into gangs I'll be headin the other way. I'm going to try my best to pick a good solo pvp fight but we'll see how that works out.....lol.

And yes, on a sidenote I love my catalyst fit with blaster II's I"ll be burning a few of those and small frigates too. Losing ships doesn't really matter to me I'm just looking to get more pvp experience with the few different types of ships I can fly and put a decent fit on atm.

Thx again for ur awesome help Alara :)
