Intergalactic Summit

*The screen shows a good number of cots in a pristine medical facility, all meticulously organized with dozens of medical staff moving around tending to the patients. When Inara speaks, the camera drone turns enough to show her, but maintains it's focus mostly on the activities of the large room.*

Eighty-nine. That's how many I was able to rescue from the Covenant Cathedral's cages. As it was an old Amarrian tomb, I first assumed they were Amarrians being used for bloodletting rituals; those responsible were handed over to the Empire for justice.

It turns out, these are former Republic Fleet officers and crewmen. Some of them were finally able to speak after treatment, they were taken by raids by the Covenant during the chaos of the transition from Empire to Republic control in a number of systems. There was one Captain who claimed that his Jarpur class cruiser was destroyed by a Capsuleer, and the Raiders pulled the survivors from the wreckage shortly afterwards.

Most of them are now ready to be moved, but as I'm unwelcome in high security space I cannot return them to Pator myself.

*She glances at a datapad that's handed to her by a passing nurse.*

Seventy-eight will be needing transportation to Pator for debriefing. Due to their positions within the Republic Fleet, I'm requesting that a pilot with strong ties to the Republic itself contact me. I have no interest in either side of this war, but these seventy-eight have families they need to return to.

*The camera drone pans towards Inara more.*
