Yes!

Btw: Could you also increase the size of the inventory's scrollbar, it's supertiny and really annoying when being in a pos...

Excellent - my ship hangar and items window are coming back to stay!

The new unified thingy might actually be an overall improvement after today's patch.

Thanks devs!

Did Soundwave not mentioned, that it would be possible to drag windows out of the UI again?
Not implemented? Just a shortcut sh!t?
I do not want to have shortcuts to open my inventory / ship / containers etc. I want to double click at icons / items and a new window MUST pop up by default!

Absolute no improvement CCP. Fail again. Give me my money back!

•When you want to open an inventory in a separate window, you can now drag and drop it out of the main window as an alternative to the shift + click way of opening it.

"POS structures are now grouped into one of four categories in the Unified Inventory tree view: “Defenses”, “Industry”, Storage” and “Infrastructure”."

The new system should be fine now IMHO.

2 things puzzle me however:

- lags affecting the loading of hangars and ship maintenance arrays at POSes have been bogging us for years. Yet, it seems it took just a week to roll a fix for it. Why did you wait so long to fix it?

- Accessing ship bays (like the drone bay) is far more intuitive now. But did you need to remove the old context menu when right clicking on a ship?

ffs what the hell are you playing at? every single container in my station corp hangar is now un-viewable.

click on the container - nothing found

shift-click on it - nothing found.

every single 1 which has god knows how much isk in it, has nothing found.

To your first question, this was not trivial. The Unified Inventory actually required we rewrite almost the entire Inventory code, re factoring heavily. The code was quite messy and very old. Now that the code is much healthier, leaner and quicker we can look into problem areas and improve performance realistically.

This was a design choice as we are trying to reduce the number of changeable options that are displayed in the right click menu.

Finally as a general point we just didn't have enough time to get the ability to drag out secondary windows and visually indicate POS structures out of range, but hopefully we will get to that next.

Are you willed to absolute rebuild the old UI with their hundreds of own windows, adjustable in size and position? The most players want exact this. But why is there absolute no response from CCP to this issue? I will never PAY and play this game, full of mysterious hidden shortcuts. I use a mouse to play a game. I want my doubleclicks, rightclicks, icons in my neocom and my hundreds of windows back! Why do you all at CCP ignore your customers? I will cancel all my accounts if you are not willed to bring back functionality! After more than 4 years of continued subscription I have totaly lost the fun of this game. Even worse.. I hate CCP. Sad

I never had lag with the former UI. What do you want to tell us about lag of the old UI?

the old code indeed maybe was mesy and old, but it WORKED. To call the new inventory system HEALTHIER, leaner and QUICKER, is probably the biggest amount of BS ive heard on here from a CCP representative.

I prefer the new inventory system. I think its a big step in the right direction, it just needs refining. Most of you are just adverse to change.

That said, there's a small issue I'd like to see fixed. Is it possible to have the "My filters" menu remain hidden when I dock and undock?

My station containers won't open from the inventory window and show up empty from the side-bar. Good work, everybody. Roll

As an update to the above, it seems the only way to view containers that are in a station corp hangar, is to move it to your own station items hangar, access it, do what you want, then move it back.

Basically since todays patch, you cant view containers in any way whatsoever that are in a corp hangar.

Kim Blackstone: Garoun Investment Bank [GIB] from 2012.05.03 09:58 to 2012.05.03 10:00.

You are too young to give meaningful statements to THIS issue. You have not played the game for more than 4 years like me! You do not know the advantages of the old UI. You nearly know just the new "unified crap" one. Roll Or is this just an alt?

The assumption that "Most of you are just adverse to change." is nonsense.
I am worried about that such new players are the origin and responsible for the "improvements" of this new unified crapsh!t.

Opening Station Warehouses reverts back to your ship hangar.

In other words, you can no longer open station warehouses from the tree or by double clicking on them.

BUG ID: 137428

EDIT1: Was trying to figure out the whole re-dock thing. It took a minute, but you have to have it open in a new window. THANK YOU!!

They stay open however they don't remember their position if you had multiple open. We're getting there and thanks for the work :).

So, I'd have 2 corporate hangars open 1 for where the fuel is located and 1 for where the minerals are. I'd undock > jump to new station, when I re-dock, they both open now (AWESOME! THANK YOU) but they're stacked on top of each other.

EDIT2: Left clicking on the 'inventory' icon brings up the tree instead of opening a new tree'd window.

Sincerely,

Thank you for the work and effort to make this a working inventory CCP.

CCP. Are you even QAing these hotfixes at all? How do you miss completely breaking corp hangers like this in even the most basic QA test?

Assuming that's not an alt, new player are the best judge of how frustrating the old inventory system was. Old player seems to have forgotten how counter-intuitive access to ship bays, hangars and container can be.

All the bitching about open windows size and position are just implementation details that some use on TQ will help CCP to improve - too few people are testing changes on sisi and for too few limited activities.
