What would earn more ISK per hour? Vargur running L4s or Loki ratting in 0.0?

Also, strictly t2 fitted. No t1(except rigs) and faction mods(due to price).

Before you throw in the "Fly a Tengu" comments. I'm strictly Minmatar for the time being. I have no intention of cross-training for awhile.

Vargur in highsec. Not because highsec or the Vargur is that good, just the Loki is pretty bad at PvE.

Good to know that my training plan isn't going to waste.

You want isk? Run your Vargur in Incursion fleets :)

Always figured I would be wasting my time there unless I ran Logistics.

No way.. you may not do as much DPS as a Mach, but you have amazing tracking...just fit a sensor booster and dont overtank your Vargur.. will be golden in Incursions.. the payouts are worth it.

Once I finish my training I may inquire about a proper Incursion fit.
For the time being I have an adequate mission fit that would exponentially increase my ISK per hour vs a Maelstrom.
Then again. I haven't hit BS V and Adv Weapons Upgrades V yet, so the Mael might have a few tricks left.

If you have the ISK - faction fit your Loki and run 0.0 complexes. You need to be able to run gate camps to do this (due to 0.0 being dangerous and the high number of jumps you need to do to find sites).

1 site can net you 500-1billion. Although it can also get you 'tags and ammo' e.g. 50mil. Personally i find these the most interesting.

Recommend a fit at all? So many different combos for these T3's :)

Sadly, unlike the proteus, you can't go 'co-ops' and still hit hard enough - but here's a fit i was looking at anyway.

[Loki, Deep-Plex]

Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer
Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer
Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer
Power Diagnostic System II

10MN Afterburner II
Gist A-Type Large Shield Booster
Kinetic Deflection Field II
Kinetic Deflection Field II
Caldari Navy Shield Boost Amplifier
Cap Recharger II

425mm AutoCannon II, Phased Plasma M
425mm AutoCannon II, Phased Plasma M
425mm AutoCannon II, Phased Plasma M
425mm AutoCannon II, Phased Plasma M
425mm AutoCannon II, Phased Plasma M
Core Probe Launcher II

Medium Anti-Kinetic Screen Reinforcer II
Medium Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer II
Medium Core Defense Operational Solidifier I

Loki Defensive - Adaptive Shielding
Loki Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer
Loki Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix
Loki Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
Loki Offensive - Turret Concurrence Registry

Cap stable 1200 DPS tank. 430DPS output.

Honestly though the loki isn't great for PVE - thats about 1.3B-1.5B isk to do guristas/serpenties 8/10's. I can do the same in an ishtar for 250mil.... and fit a cloak while im at it.

A Sleipnir might be a better option for you. Although im not sure if you can fly one of these. Will me much cheaper and faster.

P.S. Faction ammo might be expensive but it will rip through those plexes much quicker.

P.P.S. Im using the 'artillery' sub-system, because it has a better damage modifier (as opposed to ROF, which eats ammo) and also has a tracking bonus, perfect for frigs.

I'm still trying to find that perfect Proteus fit that gives me nice DPS with the Cov Ops fit.

I really liked the Loki fit. Going to have to give that a try :)

Best of both worlds! Run L4 missions in a Vargur in NPC 0,0. It's what I do. More steady/safer income than plexes.

There is possibly more money to be made with pirate missions than incursions. Here is my math:

The money is in the LP store. 0,0 missions give more LP than their highsec counterparts. Training security connections is a good idea too.

A typical Angel Cartel mission gives 9-13k LP for the ones that take 10-20 minutes to do.

A Cynabal BPC costs 80k LP and 20 million isk. Currently Cynabals sell for around 250mil.

Assuming I may be a bit biased and accounting for neuts coming into local, other distractions, etc. Call it on the low end of 30k LP an hour.

230 mil (cynabal-20 mil for bpc) / 80,000 (lp) = 2875 isk/lp.

2875 isk X 30,000 Lp/hr = 86,250,000 isk/hour

But that's not all! When you get missions against pirate factions they are exactly the same as they would be in highsec. Add the bounties on top of that 90 mil/hour. Even better, empire faction missions that drop tags can give an additional 20-30 mil depending on the mission. That adds up very quickly. I invested in a 1.3 billion isk vargur and within 2 weeks had made 2.1 billion isk while simultaneously getting 40-50 kills (I wasn't Pveing the whole time).

Train an alt to scout for you and don't mission with neuts in local/obey standard 0,0 survival techniques.

The best part, you don't have to wait/deal with incursion fleets or be forced to talk on comms if you don't want to. Crank up some music, and grind away.

670dps cloaky Prot is the norm (770+ with heat), 115k ehp, MWD, cap booster stable and a long point. Bit pricey but good at what it does.
Edit: That's with 2 x 5% damage implants ofc:)

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
