What age do you class a new player?
I class a new player from 1 day to 2 months old, in any case the new player will quit the game after training for a month for a hulk to then lose it.

I will also estimate from my 5 years recruiting experience that like 80% new players start of as miners.

C'iest la vie. I lost my first ratting drake within two months of starting the game. That's Eve. If you can't afford to lose it, you shouldn't undock in it.

EVE is just not about blowing **** up, its a market simulator though war does have **** to do with it most players only play it so they can have fun while semi afk doing **** with real life.

CCP will now fix the Orca because of this action, thank god.

Firstly, it's 'fucking' - if you're going to bypass the profanity filter at least don't be half-arsed and lazy about it.

Secondly, there's nothing wrong with the Orca for CCP to 'fix', so get that obsession out of your head, go train for one and you'll love it the way I do.

I can agree that a new player is up to 2 months old, but to state as fact that HAG is specifically targeting new players is just outright insanity.

Learning to lose a ship is all part of learning how to play the game. If the first ship you lose just happens to be a rather expensive T2 ship, then I would imagine it is rather hard to learn, however, it isn't the fault of the gankers that the target has never lost a ship, or not yet learned how to lose.

A HAG ganker will generally never end up targeting a player that isn't in a T2 mining ship. EVE Online needs players who are able to learn graciously. Unfortunately, the popular crop of MMOs out there don't teach players how to lose. In those other MMOs, every player is a winner. This is what creates the attitude of entitlement in so many players. They expect EVE to be like every other MMO, when in fact it isn't, and can attribute it's success to that fact.

hulks take two months to train into to fly them passably but please continue handwaving about how hulkageddon, which targets ships that take months to train into, is driving away new players

npc alts have no opinions worth consideration

True facts. One can get into a suicide catalyst within a few hours to a day or two of joining, whereas a Hulk takes at least 2 months to get into.

Yes CCP please fix the Orca so when its giving boosts, It has to be on grid.
