Low / null-sec trader.

tl;dr version: I want this guy to be a low / null-sec trader and I don't want to transport goods myself if I can avoid it. Which skills should I focus on from here on out?

Looking for some input and inspiration for this guy in terms of skillplanning. When I started him I planned on doing a lot of manufacturing as well, but I am not sure I want to bother with it anymore. I've started working on his standings via my combat pilot, and will keep doing so for a while. Not yet bored with missioning, but that will happen one day. Bear

He's currently flying a Cheetah. The Cheetah is basically just for getting around quickly and as safely as possible, and I have a skillplan to max out the relevant skills for it. He has 4 jump clones ready as well.

At first I was only going for high-sec trading (hence the current lack of Criminal Connections), but I want to spice it up and also do low / null-sec trading. If at all possible, I want to avoid transporting goods myself and rely on courier contracts instead. If it cuts too much into profits I guess I'll have to rethink it of course.

So any suggestions where to take this guy from here? Skilling up to a blockade runner is an obvious choice if I end up having to transport goods myself. Are there any skills that I haven't already covered that would be useful for low / null-sec trading?

Cyno, PI and scanning skills.

Cyno because you can help out a friendly JF who you want to deliver to you, scanning so you can make full use of that nice lil cheetah and make sure no one is waiting in system to pop said friendly JF, and PI because...it's an annoying set up but is pretty decent passive isk once it's set up (provided you're in friendly space or a cheap )...but you'd probably want a blockade runner to pick everything up.

None of those directly relate to trading, so clearly I'm drawing a blank. Everything else I can think of relates to hauling and ship agility.

Train interpersonal relations IV at least

Degren said it all, more or less.

Perhaps eventually a JF yourself would be an awesome asset.

Ah yes, excellent points there, thanks :)

And yeah I thought about getting a JF myself, but it would be on a different character. I have a fully trained Orca pilot I could further train up to JF I suppose.

Looks like it'll take me over half a year to get all the relevant core & support skills for a cyno/probe cheetah to 5. P For many of the skills a level 4 will do of course, but I might as well max them out. An int/mem remap seems in order after I get all the navigation skills done.
