And just to be clear, I'm not against PvP. I just don't like it. I don't enjoy it.
There are many ways to enjoy a game. Your version is NOT the only way. In fact, my mining does NOT impinge on your PvP at all.
So I'm not really sure what the issue is? Simply because you can't understand why someone has a particular playstyle and that you assume a lot about someone you don't even know?

Why do you let someone have that much control over you?

I make enough isk to play and pay with ISK. I go on roams because it's a team activity and you can learn team mechanics which are not possible any other way. Communication is key and I enjoy the team aspect of roams.

But you waste hours at a time looking for a fight. That's wasting time. You could be mining and making ISK.
I don't understand why you'd want to PvP. It sounds utterly boring, boring to tears!

did you yell at the ghosts in pacman when they melted you?

Indeed those pills are colorful, but who's taking them? I'm mining and making ISK, you are roaming for hours for...nothing?
Who's wasting time and their $14.99?

If it's so boring to PvP, why would I do that?

You don't MAKE isk first of all, you TRADE minerals for ISK that is generated only ONE way, bounty from NPC pirates.

It's like money, money is not wealth, it is simply a claim on wealth.

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

I only need to make enough to buy a plex, this is #1

next I buy stuff off the market or I invest in other activites which leaves more then enough time to try out roams.
Roams cost ISK, but there is always the potential to MAKE isk if you hit the right pinata.

Hon, trading is how to make ISK, but you know that, right? I'm mining to get ore, to refine, to sell on the market. When I sell it, I get ISK.

So TLDR, I'm making ISK by mining.

But once you get the biggest mining ship what more is there to look forward to?

Market domination through trade wars was what I was thinking would be the next logical step.

So close...

So you have a playstyle you like. Good for you! I'm happy for you!
I have a playstyle all my own. I don't know why I have to justify it to you; or any other person needs to justify their playstyle.

Really, what was your purpose for posting this question? This type of question has been posted again and again. So what makes this one so special?

I'm no miner but this might be of use.
Using some Dscan and keeping aligned should significantly reduce chances of being ganked.
assuming perfect mining and mining drone skills are added

If you whine about lack of isk, you best understand that I make on average under 10 mill a day and still have a nice amount of isk.

If you want real isk go to low/null/wh

10 mil aday from mining shot i make 150mil aday just mission running and that takeing it easy.

Making people like you wonder what I'm looking forward to. What's the point of knowing this? How does it affect you? Why do you care?

Have you ever tried mining? I mean really? The reason people do it semi-AFK is because it's probably the most tedious and boring thing to do in EVE, and most of us who aren't doing other things at the same time to keep our brains active would likely end up either falling asleep or a gibbering wreck at the end of an evening.

If I still mined and felt forced to constantly pay attention to watching asteroids... well... *do nothing*... or feel my eyes glaze over at the 10000000th press of the d-scan, I'd probably rather just quit and/or find something more interesting to do.

My version? I didn't say anything about PVP, I am pretty bad at PVP if you check up my killboard, I would even say I suck at PVP,

My main activities are sleeper hunting, level 5 missions in lowsec, mining ice in lowsec but only on a need basis, I don't mine more then I need. I also explore, hack and analyze ruins.

All of these activities however require my full attention. It's immersive.

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

Once you kill your millionth miner, what do you look forward to? Perhaps another miner?
When you spent hours looking for a fight and then it ends in a few minutes? What then?

Oh my bad, does it really matter? You seem really obsessed over my game play.

The whole point of mining is to be able to have EVE in a 800x600 window while you do interesting things online or irl

I guess my point, besides being slightly annoying and slightly a troll, is that you shouldn't be so obsessed over what other people are doing in the game. That is, unless they are gunning for you.

I mean, really, why do you care about some miner on the other side of the universe is mining - no matter what state they are in?

If it really is causing you distress, then you might consider taking a break from the game. Really.

Yes, I doubt anyone is conquering the universe by mining afk, semi-afk, drunk, or whatever. They are definitely not gunning for you. However, it does make one wonder who is driving all of this insane rage against high sec miners. Makes one wonder who's playing who.

I mined with my first few corps and it was the most boring activity ever. I got can flipped a few times and killed.
I even remember the first time I was killed in Tama moving robotics to try to make a quick profit. They were cheap bait, I learned that fast.

I then switched to missions, figured it's like mining but the asteroids shoot back a little.
This got booring fast. same crapola again and again

So I tried sleepers, got killed etc etc. not fun but got me curious about learning how to NOT die.
Then I learned that wormholes had a rating system! GO FIGURE! no manual tells you there are 6 separate classes of wormholes and that they actually affect your ship differently! POOF, I went back after being defeated and tried again armed with NEW intel.

This time I was solo killing sleepers in a C1, tough little bugs but great loot. Then I tried a C2, flying my cloak tengu and again killing sleepers. C3, was too tough solo, so I teamed up.

Missions are by far the best way to earn ISK if that is really what you are after, the rewards are much higher then anything you can mine.

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

They shouldn't care, adults don't care but some people just like griefing, they use the game as an outlet for that. Those propaganda posts are largely just entertainment for them.
