Faction standings for non fighting char

Hi,

this is a pure industry char, looking for amarr standings.

My question is: i have seen different industrial chars with hight faction standings,but which is the right path to raise faction standins for a 0 sp gunnery char ?

Do missions for "Distribution Agents". The missions themselves require zero combat, but the storyline missions (that will raise faction standing) are sometimes combat oriented. If you're in high sec it shouldn't be too much problem finding someone to perform the actual mission for you, just offer them something adequate in return.

For the fastest standing increase, try finding stations that have several distribution agents of the same level in that particular station. That means you will be able to ramp up Storylines very rapidly, as you can perform several missions in one go. For Caldari standings, one such goldmine is the Orien system for Expert Distribution. One of the Orien stations contain 2 x Level 3 distribution agents that most of time offer missions within the same solar system. A moderately fitted blockade runner will carry both agents' cargo with ease. I was able to collect one Level 3 storyline mission every 30 minutes grinding this system.

PS. Grinding Caldari standings with the agents above will also give you boost to the Amarr Empire. Ds.

courier missions are boring like hell and it takes you forever to get a storyline. Of course I never ever saw anything like this:

but it must be because I fail of course. Consider also that L3's are the least you want to run cause L1-2 gives ridicule faction standigs increase (their storylines ofc). Running L3's in a BR is the way to do them, cause with a normal indy it would be too painful.

Said that, theoretically there are other ways to grind faction standings: the COSMOS missions or the DataCenters (agents who ask you to buy tags and pay you with said standings), but imho there is something wrong with them, at least if you are in amarr space. I'm doing that same thing ATM... grinding the standings on an alt character. Get your connections skill up to at least level 4, it helps a lot. If this is an alt on a 2nd account and you can run both accounts at the same time, fleet those suckers up and have your main do the pew pew.

Have a list of agents ready in case you get sent to kill a rival faction and you don't wanna. Hop between agents.

When boredom becomes unbearable (and it will, count on it), go back to doing your usual stuff with your main, but keep the alt running courier missions on autopilot. Nanoed cruisers do this well.

PS: For the love of God, check your route and don't autopilot through low sec.

If you are wanting to raise your faction standings -- send me an EvE Mail. I have achieved a modicum of boredom and am actually looking to help someone raise their standings.

What do I ask for in return? Well, it would be nice to have a salvager come help clean up the place. I am far too lazy.

Depending upon which faction you wanted to improve (I can help with three of the four empires, not Gallente); I can show you how to rapidly boost your overall faction standing. If you want a specific corp, simply let me know which one -- I have over 40 corporations around the 8.0 or better mark.

TLDR: you only get faction increases from your own storyline missions

This. Faction standing gain from storyline missions cannot be shared in fleet.

Look into datacenters.

1) Follow the Standings Repair Plan to get standings up (Data Center, Circle Agents, etc)
2) Fleet up with a fighting alt, run missions, let alt do the fighting, don't share rewards ,get corp and faction standing yourself.

You're still going to have to shoot them guns 'n such to get the good standing (unless you weenie out and run distro missions)... :-p

I believe you misunderstood me - actually, I know you did.

I was not suggesting that I would turn in my OWN missions - I was suggesting that since he is not a combat character, I would do the fighting FOR him and I can gather the necessary bits (from static complexes) so that he would not have to worry about the fighting.

That works. But keep in mind mission bm is only valid for character that pulled it. Right click -> Warp fleet, Ctrl + Space to cancel your own warp while combat alt warps in.

I put my indy character into a drake, all t1 fit to quickly blitz l1-l3 missions to get standings. A drake needs the least amount of skills to be effective. Everything was meta 3 or 4, depending on costs. Already had a pve rigged drake. Only used 4 T1 hobs. Fit standard, think they called lights now, launchers so you can get some range and a mwd. If memory serves I had 2 meta 4 large extenders, mwd, and passive omni tank with 2 shield relays on the lows. Rest BCS and a tractor beam in the spare high to grab mission containers when needed. You could probably do it in a cruiser, but the extra protection you get from the drake with low skills is worth it. Never had to warp out from missions. Also train social and connections to at least 3. You will very quickly get standing increases. If you have lots of isk, do some data center missions also. Just need to be careful as its a fine balance to get all 4 factions high and keep them that way, but it is doable.

EDIT: I have found that your standings go up quicker if you solo blitz lvl3's than fleet with someone doing lvl4's.

I once fit a sigil with mods to improve its alignment and with hyperspace velocity rigs. Courier missions don't have to be painfully slow. They're still super boring though. (Also, the Sigil is the best indy for this purpose unless it just isn't large enough for your load.)

As suggested above, running level 3 distribution in a blockade runner would be the ideal choise for faction standings.

But if you are a miner and want to get some combat missions quickly, one alternative idea (exept the drake as suggested above) is the shield myrmidon(or gila if your pocket allows it and you want something more pimped). Thats assuming you got decent shield skills (level 4 at least) and drone skills (t2 light/mediums, interfacing to 4). A decent fit would be like this:

330 omni passive tank. 250 (decent drone skills, bc level 3) to 360(perfect drone skills) dps with drones only. You can change the hardeners depending on rats. High slots are free to play exept the DLA. I choosed good tracking medium autocannons along with a tractor beam to gather mission specific cans.
