Stuff missing from inventory, but not really?

Hi folks.

Logged in this evening and nearly swallowed my teeth - ship hangar showing nothing but an Ibis and a couple of modules.

Missing was a Golem, Nightmare, Basilisk, Fleet issue Tempest, ....well, you get the picture. Everything suddenly gone! Checked assets window -- showing bugger-all. Checked everything else you'd usually check -- nowt! Did a search for "Golem" in the search function of Assets window - it showed the golem. Clicked to enter ship, the image stayed on as the Noctis i was in already.... undocked, it showed the golem., redocked and checked assets again - it now showed the noctis, ibis and golem but nothing else.

If i do individual searches for the particular bits and pieces i own, they show up, but not before. Have relogged with no effect.

Any suggestions? Has anyone else had this happen?

Maybe try clearing your cache ? Other than that seems like a massive bug from the inventory system , so not much you can do.

It happened to me directly after the patch, but the update Thursday morning or such fixed it and it hasn't happened since, sad to hear it's still happening to other people. :(

This happened to me today. When in space I can see all my assets in VFK, but when I dock all I get is the ship I was flying and 3 items I had couriered. The other 5 items in station can only be seen by doing a specific "search" for that item.

Also I cannot assemble a Tengu because the inventory system doesn't recognize 2 of the subsystems that I have in inventory (ones I have to "search" for).

If billions of isk worth of stuff are just randomly going ~poof~ to Narnia then this is a serious issue.

Somebody else had this issue. Using the search feature would show their stuff. They contracted the items to themselves and they appeared. Frankly I would rather go to the dentist then go through this procedure.

I've had that bug since long before this new UI so I don't think it's related to the inventory changes.Straight

thanks for the replies folks! Am glad its not just me that this has happened to. Is there a tried-and-tested way of fixing this issue? I've opened a petition but it was only yesterday, so not heard back yet.

Try that.
It can fix itself without any action on your end, though I don't know what triggers the fix.

I see others have posted the resolutions from the station staff. I must say, I am a bit disappointed in this. Some of my items do not show up, irrespective of these various mechanisms they have detailed. I did not keep a detailed log as I was not expecting things to randomly disappear; so I hope they will be able to restore or resolve this without too much pain.

This leaves me massively concerned though. Can anything be purchased and retained? Will we lose items randomly? I received a speedy response from the station administrative staff; hopefully they will answer my subsequent questions with the same alacrity.

Has anyone had any further responses regarding this? I am about to purchase a second fleet of ships and do not wish to risk them if the station managers are managing to misplace items.

I'm still having this issue. Both when docked and when in space, any items placed in the cargo or inventory have a fairly high chance of vanishing. This can be somewhat alarming when the thing that disappears is a Rattlesnake. Any word yet from CCP on what is causing this and how soon it might get fixed?

I logged in today and at first, I thought it was a joke seeing myself without ship and pod.

Undocking doesnt work, When I open fittings I can see im in my old ship

I darn near flipped out when I saw my assets gone!

Is there a fix YET?
