It has much less to do with constantly having an enemy and more related to just trying to have fun.

Because EVE is a competitive game, in order for someone to win, someone has to lose.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop [u]cryptozoologist[/u]! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

So, ultimately, I gather, Goonswarm is just bored? They have reached the edge of all and no longer have anything to trully test their mettle. My sympathies, Goonswarm.Cry

Nope. The Internet gifted me with a cool-sounding first name, Haldor, and seeing how it was Norse, I added the "Rune." It all started when someone made the good point that Caldari names seem to be an odd mix of Finnish and Japanese. I didn't like many Finnish names, so I expanded my search and came across Haldor.

Goons won't last forever mainly because no nation or empire has ever succeeded in keeping their positions as superpowers orever. Babylon, Rome, England, band of brothers, etc. I am not threatening goonswarm in any way. I am merely pointing out a natural fact in the natural cycle of an empire.

I also like to point out that even though goonswarm may not be around forever, the ideology that they created, the culture they bred will continue on.

Actually most "Hardcore Alliances, guilds, corps, whatever" in all MMOs eventually fall into oblivion. Which i believe actually has happened to many alliances in eve already.

Its basically an implosion from internal conflict.

Yup you pretty much hit it on the head, nullsec is a tad quiet at the moment, so we are having some fun blowing up hulks in highsec, helps that we have the tech market cornered, so have fun and make isk too.

BoB/IT needs to hurry up and re-incarnate again so we can shoot them again.
