Epic Arc missions are started by talking to a specific NPC if you meet the standings to start the Arc.

COSMOS missions all take place in specific constelltions (one for each Empire) there are a few guides around but none are "perfect" in my personal opinion so I will link you to all the ones I used to get through.
Mostly once you're in the constellation you can warp to marked beacons on the overview and take missions via talking to agents which are floating in space. BE WARNED THESE ARE ONE TIME ONLY! IF THEY EXPIRE OR YOUR REJECT THEM YOU CAN'T DO THEM AGAIN.

There are various different types of Events Agents available in game. All Event Agents give both Corporation and Faction standing increase. As was said earlier, most Event Agents can only be completed once in the life of the character so do not fail, quit, decline or let their mission offers expire or you may be locked out from accessing them.

All Agents accept standings modified by social skills. Most Event Agents will accept Faction or Corporation standing for access. If using Corporation standing for access, the Faction also needs to be above -2.00 standing. As it is with regular Agents, when a mission is offered, you have 7 days to accept. After accepting the mission offer, you have another 7 days to complete it

Cosmos Agents only accept Faction standing for access and the amount needed is higher than the other agents. Cosmos Agent missions are tougher than regular Agent missions, a Level 1 Cosmos Agent mission is comparable to a regular level 2 or 3 mission, so best to have good skills and ship fit.


Epic Arc Agents are different compared to the other Event Agents. Their mission offers don't have an expiration timer, the arcs can be completed every 3 months for Faction standing increase and only the initial starting Agent checks your standing.
