Solo Ganking a Hulk

Was just wondering if this was possible in a Hurricane?
Almost all of my combat skills are in Minmatar ships and fittings at the moment, so if I can solo kill these things in a Hurricane, that would be awesome. Or would it be better to just cross train into a Brutix? Last I had heard, the aim is ~750DPS?

A minimally tanked or untanked hulk should be EASILY killable by a catalyst (maybe a thrasher, I'm not sure as I haven't flown them) in .5, .6, and .7. A properly tanked one will not die to a destroyer... maybe not to a tier 1/2 BC either if he has decent skills and/or overheats his hardeners. When in doubt and going after tanked targets, you want a tornado or talos.

My advice is to ship scan and stick to relatively untanked targets (or get a friend or two) and just use destroyers.

EDIT: Note I'm referring to t1 fits when talking about destroyers and tier 1/2 BCs. A t2 fit and suicide rigged hurricane or brutix should be able to kill a tanked hulk.

I gotcha.
The information I had read on was pretty out of date, and I completely forgot that Destroyers got a decent buff between then and now. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes.

Very nice, the Oddball Six thread was the one that inspired me to go into all this. I'll give that fitting a shot and see how it goes.

Not even a Gank Tornado can do that. 1500 could be possible. I know a gank thrasher does 1300 without imps.

Presuming Domination ammo can be found that's 1935 alpha without (damage, 1% grid needed) implants. If you can't get it it's 1881 alpha. If you're going for alpha striking on a destroyer 1500 is more than "could be" possible with a thrasher. A cormorant, on the other hand, would be lucky to hit 1k even if you include the first rocket hit.
