On that note, I demand suicide runs... a frig pilot should be able to collide with a bigger ship, losing their ship and their pod, dealing the equivalent damage to a DD blast.

At first i thought:"Yes...yessssss..." but then it ocurred to me it would happen every fifteen minutes or so at every mission hub and generally change the tenor and tone of the game.
Remember, there's some SERIOUSLY sexually confused/frustrated people in New Eden.

If you've fit your ship for pve and a rupture turns up fitted for pvp then its nothing to do with how much isk you have. It's so unrelated I can't even be bothered to explain, it should be obvious.

Your analogy is also way off. It's more like this:

A guy challenges you to a race,you accept.
you bought a bugatti veyron.
The other guy brought an old escort mk 4.
What he neglected to tell you or you neglected to find out is the race as on gravel through winding mountain tracks, not flat tarmac. Veyron loses and probably fails to even finish, antique rally car wins by a wide margin.
