Scanning and disappearing targets

I started a new alt to scan down whs and other things but i am faced with this strange phenomenon, signatures up to 25% disappear when closing in on them even without much deviation, say I scanned a WH down to 25% many times and deviation is little, I decrease the range of probes on it and then its gone, increase the range and its back again.

My question is this due to scanning strength not enough or still a deviation problem? right now im using a cheap rigged Heron and Astrometric Rangefinding and Pinpointing up to 4, what else can I improve that is cheap and fast?

Reset your filters. It will fix the issue.

And all this time I thought I was doing something wrong.. by filters do you mean cache files?

No filters. in the scanning window.

Its been awhile but there was a patch that changed the signature categories or some such. if oyu had any filters they would disappear as soon as you scanned them down far enough to get the type.

But I have only 1 category selected... Cosmic anomalies.. not sure how to reset it?

For now, just make sure everything is checked.
