yeah that's it

Impressive. This Gordon Gecko thing has style...
So your next target in the masterplan to Eve-Domination would be the hostile takeover of RvB, I presume?

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Goons offer you death and dispair,
Goons offer you chains and agony,
Goons offer to drown your freedom in servitude.

I offer you hope,
I offer you freedom,
Brothers and Sisters listen to me, gather in flock.
Mass together under one banner, a banner for freedom.
A banner of change, a banner which shall blot out suns and darken worlds.

Together we can put an end to this,
Together we can burn the Goons Empire to the ground.

Brothers and Sisters, a new dawn is at hand and the Goons end is nigh!

We are one, We are legion, We are The Collective!

I would love to see a ravening horde of 10K+ players descend on Deklein in some form of barely-directed near-anarchy.

It would be the greatest thing this game has ever seen.

why don't you start one then? You know its not like goons appeared there with a magic blink without any sort of peopel STARTING to do stuff instead of sit in forums whining.

on aside note. DO i get extra bonus if I kill a barge using another barge that therefore dies to concord? Like double kill bonus?

It really would. Take rifters or other frigates, you should be able to cause some hav-

Uh well I guess we'd mostly just take a nap. But if you manage to kill a carrier or something (maybe even a titan) with 10,000 rifters on its killmail, I will be impressed !

I'm actually mulling it over in my head right now...I think it just might be possible...

Not in any sustained way, of course, but as a one time event...just might be within the realm of reasonable possibility....

You don't know what you are missing. Try it sometime. You'll understand.

You misunderstand. I will continue to NOT kill mining ships, because I don't like it and I am choosing to not follow this aimless propaganda :)

Sorry if this is hard to understand.

It is possible. But you'll die in a viking funeral.

By a friend's suggestion I got into the miner's chat and I'd strongly encourage all to do the same (more so if you're a potential ganker mwahahaha!). After 10 minutes there I got it why the Goons at large despise what they call pubbies. I don't think I'd fall in the cathegory but I sure am a carebear. But hell even I felt like killing* most of the morons posting in channel.

*- To any mods and back seat mods, by "killing" the author of this post really means podding, in a strictly ingame virtual sence.

Ya, it would quite literally have to be a barely-directed anarchy of t1 ships relying solely on the power of numbers, and no one should expect to get back outside of the pod express.

No, mining needs to be made more fun, inter-active and profitable.

But miners also need to HTFU, move to low-/nullsec/WH (if they want profits! highsec is for noobs and traders), and realise they can't dictate their gameplay on others.. and think they can use their best endgame vessels 'safely' in highsec.

Well, everyone else gets to, so you can see where we got the idea from.

I'd love to move my supercaps to highsec, please tell me how I do it?

Mining frigate > mining cruiser > barges > exhumers. Then of course they have their logistic/support/industrial line too.

Combat pilots is far from similar, you don't go bigger and bigger size, for example. My most used combat ships are cruiser (recon, t3) and frigate (dictor, ceptor) hulls. You can't even clearly say something is 'best'. But the most powerful ones, without a doubt, is the supercaps, and while we can/do use them in PvE.. they can't enter high. Neither can regular caps. Miners are spoiled and can use their 'capital ship' (exhumers) line in highsec. That's a mistake CCP did and should correct, exhumers should be low-/nullsec/WH only, just like the capital line is.

My comment was as much about people dictating gameplay as it was endgame ships.

Exhumers aren't the mining equivalent of caps and supercaps. Rorquals are. We can't use them in hisec. Go figure.

That aside, I'll buy into your crazy logic when you also petition that every other tech 2 ship should only be usable in null. No more missioners in Marauders farming ISK (if you want to use a broad definition of endgame, no more faction BS either), no more Incursion fleets with logistics support, no more covops scanners. We can all pootle around hisec in tech 1 ships, it'll be lovely.

Well then, you may have a fair shot at it. If there's an alliance that's realy easy to outnumber it's Goons.

High sec mining is for sure a really lucrative activity. I practice it with great reluctance since it is not challenging nor exciting. Infinite hulkageddon may give the change.

As an industrialist who makes ISK from the sale of ships, mods, and minerals, I support The Mittani's extension of the payout system. My fattened wallet thanks you, sir.

And to those about to whine about unfair gameplay, adapt, like I did.

can we expect a large decrease in hulk price then?

I mean on the mid-long term, if players stop using hulks...

Not much of a sandbox when you are forced to adapt to someone's else's style of gameplay because it is what THEY want. Put it another way, EvE in 2007 was so awesome I never wanted to leave. Markets were great, players actually were honorable and fights were REAL fights, fairly fair. Eve was still dark, dont get me wrong, but null sec players understood the need for high sec and actually recruited from there. Get new players and wing them out to null to fight others.

2012, EvE has changed so much and yes while we have nicer graphics and more stuff to do, we have sacrificed much of the spirit of what made EvE what it is. We no longer have honorable fights, its **** you over and move on. Miners went from being treated as the backbones of society to more or less chew toys for dogs. Emergent gameplay? The only thing that is emerging from this style of gameplay is death. Not the death of a player but of a game.

Change is a constant, I realize games change and people change, but not all change is good either. Goons are doing what all humans do, take advantage of others. However, they should realize the consequences of their actions because like it or not all actions have a consequence.

If you wish to continue to bash miners and high sec fine. When this game is dead in 5 years you will just move on to another game to kill, but I love this game and would rather not see it die.

I understand your trying to get people in high sec to band together to take you on so you have more targets to shoot, but know this. People in high security space are there for a reason, they exist to mine, mission, and play eve in "realitive" peace. There is a delicate balance with this game and unfortunately you have ****** that balance up and the worst part is, you just dont ******* care.

Im in no way quiting, I am adapting by parking my hulk and running missions. Quite frankly it does no good to encourge others to do this because Goons still get to sell the minerals on market from their mining bots. Since there would be no other competition prices would still be soaring. So let us all just concede the fact that Goons now control EvE, you guys win. That is it, congratulations, you have done the impossible. You have won in a game that isnt supposed to be winable.

I agree with everything you just said. No one likes it when someone comes in and kicks over the six foot castle you spent hours building in the sandbox. I'm a good sport when someone blows up my stuff but it does not mean I like it. No one likes to lose at anything.

Despite what I just said, I still don't want anything changed in the game that makes it easier for me to win if it means making it harder for other players to win at what they do. Goonswarm and I have the same chance at succeeding. We're on the same level playing field. The only reason The Mittani and Goonswarm win like they win and I don't is because they are better at seizing opportunity than others, including me. I'm not a Goonswarm cheerleader, I'm just mature enought to understand not everyone can be winners.

So yes, I'm a carebear and proud of it. I do about anything possible in EVE.

Ore mining (yes even with the usual pathetic little ganker lurking around)
Ice mining (thanks for killing those bots Smile more cash for us)
Invention
Scanning
Manufacturing
PVE missions
PI

Did I miss something?

And yeah next to this wonderful carebear character I've made myself a, equal wonderful in its own way, PVP character as well. Looking forward to start ganking some Goon's butts!!!! oh no wait .... what?? .... I'm using it for Faction War ... yes that's it!!!

I love the game, I dislike some aspects of it (of course I'm my own individual with likes and dislikes), but in the end ... really I couldn't care less about some exhumer gankers.

PVE is one side of the game, PVP the other and to me both of them have their own fun and rewards.
