The Carebears are Getting Restless

The whole perma-hulkageddon bounty thing is just a plan to trick CCP into actually doing something to "fix" the contrived ganking-carebear problem by implementing a solution that is so carebear-friendly and so anti-Eve-ish, that the actual player base (which is predominantly PvP and "gets" Eve) becomes outraged and rebels against CCP thus destroying the game.

tl;dr - The Goons really are out to destroy the game and they're being super tricksy about it.

yay kick all these useless paying customers (ups I meant carebears) of CCP in the ****. Seriously I give a **** about suicid ganking, never happend to me and hopefully will never happen.

But I fail to see that to alienate a percentage of EVE players is a good thing for EVE, because lets makes it clear, the majority of people quitting over perma Hulkaggeddon or Wardec griefers are not noobs.

And that whole carebear ranting is stupid, we are all carebears when we have to make ISK for the next pvp ship, EVERYBODY.

What I see clashing is more hardcore vs casual players, as later tend more to PVE activities just because of time issues.

I understand Eve perfectly well, I just don't like it anymore.

"The power of the pvp-driven sandbox" = shooting players who can't shoot back as a full-time occupation and thinking that is the meaning of PVP.

I never had a problem with miner ganking and never got ganked as a miner after my first six months of playing the game. What I find absurd is the cult of miner-ganking that started with the prolonged Hulkageddon and the declarations of war against miners.

A real sandbox has some balance. This one has lost its way.

Carebears as OP tries to write about them do not exist. They are a fake enemy being used to justify stupid gameplay.

I believe the huge alliances are actually more carebear than any of these so called hi-sec carebears.

They only do what they do when they know their risk of loss is little to none.

I'm not sure if people understand that in the lines of suicide ganking there is no counter. If someone chooses to suicide gank you, your ship is going to pop, there's no way to stop the pop. Whether or not the ship is tanked.

You guys keep crying like CCP should do something to prevent this. We're supposed to be this incredibly intelligent species, that is highly adaptive, able to think creatively and problem solve.

You do realize there are miners that actualy pay people to work for them? Other miners who actually work with other miners. Indy corps that specialize in mining and work in fleets with actual support.

EVE is supposed to be an "intelligent" game, yet we got all these idiots that think they should be able to go out to a rock and mine without putting any thought into what they're doing. How about you take some of the profit you make from mining and start using it to facilitate more emergent gameplay by recruiting people to work for you so that you can't be ganked in hi-sec.


Oh wait, it's easier to cry about it.

I. Am a carebear. And anyone, or any fleet who'd like to even try ganking myself or my friends will find a whole lot of pain waiting for them. Not all carebears don't know EVE, and this is an open invitation to the OP. Bring it. :D

Lol. They aren't coming back. CCP admitted this year that last years exodus almost broke the bank. We are now at a player level as low as that point in time.

If you're saying the GSF hasn't worked hard to get where they are now, you're off your rocker and have no basic grasp of our history. And yes, there is a counter to getting ganked. In fact, there are several. Many have been mentioned already. It's just that it requires a small effort and a change in how the average miner thinks and thus is never going to happen and they complain.

its still easy as hell not to get ganked

there's just been an influx of idiots that need to be rendered into tiny bloody shards, and since they're dumber than rocks it just seems like ganking is "overpowered" because the people we're killing cannot comprehend basic features of the game
