My predictions of possible outcomes:

- CCP will get spammed with "griefing" rulebreaks.
- Goonswarm will get broke.
- MOAR TEARZ.

yep, looking forward to all of them.

I'd prefer to see all the miners unite and counter the Goons. The horrible fits and KM's on the KB's will entertain me for days.

On an other side note. Again too much attention given to something as trivial as a call to arms against hulks.

It's a monopoly on tech and miners are now the major source of all minerals in the game. I wouldn't exactly call a giant exhumer bounty "trivial". In the scope of the game this has massive importance.

Gotta say this was quite smart of Goonswarm: utilize the tear-harvesting nature of EVE's mass of retards to earn them trillions of ISK for almost no work.

Have you considered if enough people actually get out there and actually break the economy instead of just some going out and making the goons money?

Can someone please explain how ganking is now an emergent game play.

Eve online launched in may 2003
The afterbirth that is the mittani was created in 2005.

Were no ships ganked from 2003 untill the mittani thought up this "Emergent" game play this week. Why dont you start a real war instead of this shite.

Light up the skies and invade the south instead of obliterating a minority.

So, Helicity's Hulkageddon started as a notable player-driven event that was eagerly anticipated by quite a few players and was talked about in a number of online gaming news sources. It was undeniably interesting and somewhat unique.

Now Goons have taken away that uniqueness and turned it into a faceless and nameless everyday thing that reeks of market manipulation and generic trolling.

Well done, Helicity, well done. You've killed your own event in a fizzle of epic proportions.

Well, I would like to write a lot (especialy of the Nazi-terms of some of the Goonswarm-People)( Edit: Oh, there is a filter on the ****-Word I used: I meant a period in between 1933 and 1945 of the Country I live in: Germany) but why should I?

The Goons try to force me to play the game the way they like. But I don't like it.

CCP would not do anything, because they think it's o.k. to force me to PvP. So, I canceled my three accounts today. With Plex, Mercandising und FanFest, I think this will save me at least EURO 2.500,00 a year. And it will cost CCP EURO 500,00 a year.

Bye and I wish a save flight

so okay heres my theory:

mitts has his OTEC, which makes use of the key elements to make a hulk.

he sponsors hulkageddon, offers a big payout for each hulk kill.

now hes got it going on indefinitely, making sure his profits continue to roll in. so, someone stupid enough to not be careful loses a hulk, said person buys hulk, mitts makes a ton of money, and gives 10 mil of it away to one person. hes getting a huge return from this.

basically, hulkageddon is fueling the goon empire.

This one won't happen, since for every 100 mil they pay out for killing 10 hulks, they just made around 300 mil. And thats if prices keep crashing on hulks.

That 300 mil is actually the tech cost for around 2 Hulks. 10 Hulks would be a whole ton more. Gotta remember, 65% of a Hulk is made of Tech, if a hulk costs 300 mil to build or whatever...

Actually, we aren't forcing you to stop mining. You can keep mining all you like, just don't be surprised when someone pvp's you after you clicked the "I agree to be pvped at any time" button.

Even if Goonswarm wanted to stop Hulkageddon, it's kind of become a tradition. They can't just abandon it now.

Says the person who wants CCP to change the rules to suit them so that people who are playing under the rules set by CCP can't.

Remember when goons first joined Eve? At the time Band of Brothers ruled nullsec with an iron fist. To the point they had CCP employees actively working in their alliance, giving them blueprints and staging 'events' so they could get free items and loot. They launched a campaign to wipe us out, that ended with their utter annihilation. People were  then and they're  now, without seeming to realize that somebody has always been at the 'top' of eve, and it's the players willing to do what it takes to have that position. I love the posts lately that claim Goons are just internet-bullies who have always blobbed, always had CCP in their pocket, always exploited, never been challenged. Their lack of knowledge and understanding of Eve's history is amusing.

If the miners and "carebears" don't like the way things are going, they should band together... almost like brothers. And they should fight back. Whining on the EveO forums because a group of players that have fought their entire existence to be the best, are shooting them in an internet spaceship game, is just silly. Learn to play the game you're in. Lean to read local, to read player actions, to know when to fight, when to run. You're literally whining on a forum because you can't sit in a belt in space and shoot non-moving rocks all day, unharmed. In a game where everything can be taken, or destroyed, at any time. It's ridiculous.

Traditions are a novelty when they're applied sparingly. When they're an everyday occurance they tend to become monotonous, tedious and a generally pointless habit. This isn't Hulkageddon, this is GSF market manipulation. Roll

Didn't read the whole thread...but from how I understand the OP, am I right to assume that Goonswarm just stole Hulkageddon from Helicity and kicked him out of his own business?

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.
