The best way around this is to just protect yourself. The goons play the game like its supposed to be played, and yes we all hate losing ships, it happens, it sucks we get over it. You need to get over it, the problem is some people dont increase their awareness, or skills to be able to ward off attacks. If you wanna afk missions and mining, you can not complain when you come back and you are at the hospital station needing to update your clone. But the prospect of offering isk to attack them, just dec them yourself, and go in head on, die, and try again, thats what it is all about.

See the reason hulkageddon worked is that the EBIL HORRIBLE GEWNIES actually had the cash to back up their offers. How exactly (besides saying TRUST ME, and believe me I have no issue trusting some random nobody npc corp alt, but others might) are you going to assure that this money is paid out? Chribba guarantee or no kills.

To put this offer into perspectve, just doing the math, you are offering here to plex 361 Billion at a minimum. Thats around 800 Plex. Or $18,000 if you want it in real money.

Why not up the ante here? Why not just permanently add bounties to goon pilots, based on ship? Anywhere, anytime. As you'll be dealing with pilots who are (arguably) more intelligent than rats, these bounties would have to be proportionately larger.

5m per goon frigate/destroyer; 20m per T2 frigate/T2 destroyer
15m per goon cruiser; 60m per T2 cruiser
30m per goon battlecruiser; 120m per T2 BC; 150m per Strategic Cruiser
50m per goon battleship; 200m per T2 BS
200m per capital ship; 500m and 1bn for supercarrier and titans, respectively.

Bounties could be divided among all players on the killmail, to a minimum of 1m. A frigate kill may cost 20m if 20 people were on the km for instance. Or all players could get a 5m bounty each, getting you more potential players. You just have to put your money where you mouth is, pubbie.

And when you tire of spending actual money to make people lose internet spaceships to goons, maybe you can cry to CCP and beg them to permanently add goon bounties to goons themselves. Maybe 2-4 week rotations between sov holders to make it fair, where their sov/assets are untouchable to compensate.

I'd love it if you paid bounties. I'd never have to leave VFK for ~goodfites~.

EDIT: Also, a rough calcuation I've done has the cost of your endeavour reaching roughly €10,800. Wish I was as rich as you, brosef. I've excluded your "top stunt" from my calculations, fyi.

Do I qualify for repeatedly self destructing a low SP alt? This is important.

to proof that you take that serious you have to give everyone commenting in this thread 100m

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

And this is why Goons will win: Because they have a focused event called Hulkageddon. Highly successful because its one very organized, with good marketing, and very motivated people involved.

You are just another person coming up with yet another event like many others. Have you looked up Griefergeddon? I bet not if you are coming up with your own rebranding.

Heaven forbid, if people were to organize themselves into *one* major event ... maybe it can make a difference.

Guess what? It won't happen in the near future because most miners, or miner corps, or for that matter, many of the folks in hisec are only to themselves and won't work together for such an event the magnitude of Hulkageddon.

Hey, If want set it up and get major alliances working together, good luck. EVE would be more fun to many players having more pew pew in hisec. But making more fragmented events and no collaboration is doomed to fail.

The goons ( and The Mittani in particular ), have made many peoples EVE lives harder then they normally would be and in fact for a lot of people, it's even made it impossible to continue playing the game like they want.

Harder EVE = Better EVE

And the game is definitely not about players getting what they want, but what they can achieve. Hulkageddon is applying a very healthy dosage of Darwin to the miner population, so the not-so-stupid ones remaining can enjoy the increased mineral prices. The low-ends held pretty steady throughout the month (likely in the wake of the drone-nerf hype), but now they are definitely rising.

Which is perfectly fine, because these days it's stupidly easy for everyon to make tens of millions of ISK an hour anyway.

I am not a big fan of Hulkageddon myself. But, you need to understand that this is a game, and it's just internet pixels.

If you don't like what someone is doing to your nice shiny ships then move them to another region of space. People are going to do what they are going to do if you like it or not. Just get over it. If you are still wanting to do your mining...then get some overwatch to protect your operations when you are mining.

If you still don't like what is happening then go back to playing WoW...

Let me get this straight. The OP wants to spend THOUSANDS of RL USD currency to supposedly hurt goons. All other arguments about his endeavor aside, the OP clearly has obsessive personality and a mental disorder.

Despite me approving of CCP making $$$$ clearly even if you have billions of RL dollars, don't you think this extra money better spent supporting a charity of some sort that will help people in real life rather than punishing someone in "space pixel" game? Don't get me wrong, I'm not least bit worried about this in terms of in game threat rather I'm concerned that perhaps you should reconsider playing MMOs if you cannot have a barrier between RL and space pixels.

The competitive MMOs do cause certain people to commit suicides, murders, ruin their family and social life, and health. At some point you need to step back, look outside and go to the park or stop worrying about some game that is supposed to be fun. If all your friends are on the interent or are in-game, you have problems bro. I highly recommend seeing a shrink and getting a dose of antidepresants as a precaution measure.

Does that mean that everyone who spends obsessive amounts of RL money on Shiny new Sports cars have the same disorder?

Granted giving to charity is a noble idea, I'm sure you, as well as many others who play eve, probably don't cancel their accounts to give that money to a better cause.

Plexing your accounts is no different, you are just using another person RL money. But again, people in eve aren't going to stop buying plex off the market to encourage RL money spending to stop on plex and be donated to a charity instead.

I support this thread!
I would just love to see the effects it might have.
Then again, you will probably end up paying billions of isk to NCDOT or something, because sometimes they get lucky and we welp a fleet.
Wich puts them ahead bigtime ofcourse.
Then again, they can use the isk to buy new ships to put into action against us, so win/win for us i guess.

I really hope you are serious, but the doubt is pretty big tbh.

I've decided that the best way to hurt the Goons, is by doing the exact same thing they do.
So, i have decided to turn the great amounts of real life money i have, into great amounts of ISK.
I will buy GTC's and PLEX, till i have enough ISK to pay for this and trust me, i actually do have the real life financial power to do this.

But you're NOT doing the same exact thing they're doing.

The only way to make something like that work is for payouts to be percentage of ISK value destroyed.

If you pay out 100 billion to an alliance that only does 10 billion in damages, what's the ******* point? For real?

At least the Goons have made a rational economic decision based on a sound cost/benefit analysis. You haven't.

First you need a killboard in which the kills are API verifiable. Then you need to decide the bounty you're going to pay out, assessed as a percentage of the damages done. Not "who gets the most kills".
