Major trade hubs:

Jita >> Amarr >> Rens >> Dodixie

In that order.

Pretty much these, for "major" trade hubs. If you're looking for other hubs that aren't quite on that level, Agil and Torrinos spring to mind.

unless you want them cheaper, less risk hauling them or have any deal with any local provider or a jita provider that also makes deliveries.

but yea, you're LIKELY doing it wrong.

Jita average is cheaper. Vast majority of local items though can be bought for significantly cheaper than it in the regional hubs.

To the OP: you just asked about what were the trade hubs. Not sure what you were getting at, but as far comments about the rest besides Jita being irrelevant....

Jita does more volume than all the rest of the trade hubs combined. If you're the buy low, sell high type, it might not be the best place to trade, at least as a younger character.

I execute about 125-150 trades a day earning a 150-300% profit on those trades in Dodixie. If you've got billions upon billions and can tolerate razor thin profit margins, having 20 people underbid your sell orders and overbid your buy orders 20 times before you can re-adjust your prices, and the occasional loss, Jita's the place to be. Overrated, imo.

I gave up on Jita because I hated playing the .01 ISK game for my manufactured goods. The main advantage Jita had is that there would often be lines open in system (or with at most a few hours wait).

150% to 300% is meaningless as a value on its own.

Meta items often have several hundred percent on them, but no volume. If I buy for 10k and resell for 60k, then I have made 500% profit on that item, which is all fine and funky if there are several hundred of them moving a day, but most of these items move very few per day.

It is like when the newspapers say "Doing X doubles your risk of Y". This sounds scary, but when you find out that without doing X your risk of Y is 0.1% and with X your risk is 0.2%, then it doesnt seem quite as scary.

This is not to say Dixie is bad, I have spent 2 years down there trading, so know there is isk to be made, however, the common assertion of "razorthin profit margins, all overbidding/underbidding all the time" in jita simply does not hold true with like for like comparisons.

Well, it might be if 10-20% per item with a daily volume of 600-1k is razorthin.

Dixie/Amarr/Rens/Hek etc have different styles to Jita. There are slow trade items in Jita, god knows I have spent enough time impatiently waiting for items to turnover, but jita is for fast volume, and cheap goods to ship elsewhere.

I don't trade on items with no volume, nor items with 5-digit price tags.

not sure with hek and rens, ive often found more gear in hek and sometimes at lower prices, they are a weird pair.

the better question would have been where are the regional trade hubs
