More proof that miners should live in null and no where near empire. Empire = unsafe Null=safe

so wait they actually payout for the ganks?
here i was thinking it was a scam... i would have shot down my fair share of exhumers.
oh well its not too late to start

Oh, Do go on... no seriously ive got nothing better to do then listen to all the petty arguments and feeble trolling attempts...

The sad thing is i'm not sure if i'm telling the truth.

Seems the market is responding in kind. Trit and Pyer remained pretty even throughout Hulkageddon, but now seem to be rising fast.

Operation WRITE DOWN ALL THE THINGS!!!  Check out the list at http://bit.ly/wdatt Collecting and compiling all fixes and ideas for EVE. Looking for more editors!

there is no place in null sec for most miners.

You realize, they'd probably be happy to fight, right?

The mineral prices will sort themselves out... I worry about what the sustained scarcity of ice will do to POS owners.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

Do it. Provide bounties. Nothing's stopping you.

we actually pay, yes. since we scrape eve-kill, you can ask people on there with a number of exhumer kills if they've gotten paid and they'll tell you they have

Caring why? Anyone who can't fit a mining ship correctly doesn't deserve to keep it. :)

The only mining ship that is capable of surviving a moderate suicide gank is a Mining Battleship, exhumers can't do it nomatter what the fit, a couple of gankado's and you're toast.

and good luck mining ice in a rokh.

Who ganks exhumers in Nado's? Those are expensive. Seriously, Nado's are at least 70m per.

Ok, maybe gankado's were a bad example Roll

But even well fitted exhumers are comparatively weak against a small group of destroyers.

I'm not interested in the politics of why etc, I just find it ironic how nullsec is now seen as the safe option to mine instead of empire Ugh

Nullsec is neither safe nor profitable for mining/ratting/etc unless a LOT of player effort is expended to make it so.
Stations
Intel Channels
POSes
Defending SOV
iHub and iHub upgrades
Keeping a keen eye on Local
Logistics (assuming you want to sell your minerals)
The list goes on

Mining in safety in HS used to require:
Undock

Now it requires:
Undock
Look at Local
Look at D-Scan on occasion

True, but if there is a small group of destroyers, you should see them coming before they land in your belt. Either on dscan, or in local chat (tears or warnings from others), or in local (known gankers you've set to low standing are easy to spot at a glance).

Heck, even the Hulkageddon mails are a wonderful database of known gankers and the areas they frequent.

Its all about mitigating risk. One can never entirely eliminate it. One of my friends loves to suicide in a Talos; he doesn't care about the cost, and he still has an impressive efficiency ratio.

If I lost my Hulk today, I'm fine with that. It either means I screwed-up royally (doh!), or missed something (a learning experience), or my number just finally came up.
