what would be a good set up for a Basilisk for repping mining ships?

not sure it if its possible to have the remote shield reps running all the time, but would like it to.

You can pick the regular incursion fit and downgrade shield remote reps to get a cap stable fit while keeping over 30k ehp on your Basi but always remember that better are your hulk resists the better your reps will be.

Not IG atm so I advice you to take a look at some Battleclinic fits

(remote) repping only helps if you're being DPSed, not if you're being alphad. So it can help against a few destroyers trying to gank the miner but it won't do a thing against a Tornado oneshotting you.

A properly tanked Hulk, no.
A lolz i've fitted Small Shield Extender Hulk, yes.

An alpha Mael when hits the wrecking shot, and provided the pilot has perfect skills can put a hole of 24k alpha.

"Can" doesn't mean it happens all the time and also for Tornado a wrecking shot "should" turn around 17k +/- witch means it needs at least 2 shots on some tanked Hulk or 1 shot on a failfit.

A non tanked one with ease, a tanked one not so much. Check this, it has enough EHP to survive a Tornado on its own, would you have an orca in fleet then add one shield resist gang link just because you can.
