Good evning, capsuleers!

Two weeks hence, the Corvidae Club will be hosting an event known as a 'poetry slam.'

Five judges, selected from among the attendees, will judge participants' skills in a poetry recital. Prizes will be awarded, and drinks will be served throughout the evening.

As always, hololinks will be provided for those capsuleers that are unable to attend 'in person'. There is no theme, though tastefulness and propriety should be observed with all poems presented.

Meiyi Family Holdings will have an information booth set up, as well, should anyone show an interest in the corpporation and its business operations.

We look forward to seeing you at the Corvidae Club!

Interesting. Depending on the exact time, I might be participate.
I asume I can recite my own scribbles. Is that right?

If I'm not otherwise occupied, I might be interested in a hololink to this event.

Please do keep us posted.

"I say that even as the holy and the righteous cannot rise beyond the highest which is in each one of you - so the wicked and the weak cannot fall lower than the lowest which is in you also.  And as a single leaf turns not yellow but with the silent knowledge of the whole tree, so the wrong-doer cannot do wrong without the hidden will of you all."

You can, indeed, recite your own poetry. Prizes have yet to be finalized, but we're looking at several options.

We'll be posting further details as the date draws closer.

Huh.

Not much of a poet, myself. I might be able to visit and enjoy the artistry of others, however.

Haikus can be fun
But sometimes they don't make sense

Blooders are red
Quafe is blue
Matari are slaves
and now so are you

I do this for many reasons. I do it because I believe it is right. I do it because I will profit by it. These all consolidate into one reason: I do it because I can.

A leaf in spring breeze
Knows not its destination
Yet still it travels

The fire of the sun
Yellow grass, red cheeks, burning wood
Fear the heat of summer

Autumn wind howls loud
Endless rain batters the harvest
Night shadows beckon

All branches barren
Snow covers all, all shall know
That winter has come

Haikus were and are
Primarily seasonal
Remember that, please

Pieter Tuulinen > He'd be Civirely disadvantaged, Andreus.

Another advantage of Phanta over Quafe!

Phanta comes in an assortment of different colours, but with only one flavour-

Delicious!

O! That the sun would
shine down. I am forever
eluded by day.

You stiffen and your
mouth widens and a small tear
runs cold down your cheek.

Pale light filters through
the windows and we cry like
winter sun-showers.

Sleeping eyes close with
night, sink under warm waves, drown,
yawn water and sigh.

I'd love to come to your poetry reading. We need more poets in New Eden.

I will try to attend, but by Hololink.

You understand that I regret to say I cannot be there in person.

They cry for freedom
Our brothers and sisters all
Heard by Capsuleers

Soldiers come and fight
Our pilots burn through the stars
Amarr run in fear.

Fight well and fly fast
The spirits are with us, clan
Amarr, nought but lies.

Take home those enslaved
We will give them back there lives
Truly free at last

I would never dream of subjecting you to my poetry by speaking it to you. I'm not nearly sadistic enough. But I do like to write it.

I'm not much of a baker,
and I'm a more deficient cook.
Don't drink if I'm the brewer,
I haven't purchased that skillbook.
You might say that I'm a butcher,
though I'm really more a hack.
no, I'm not much of a baker,
it's a talent that I lack.
But today, I'm baking starcakes.

You see, I'm not a baker,
and I'm a more deficient chef,
but I've bought the finest Saisio flour,
why, the plant's got nothing left.
I've emptied docks of sugar
and I've shipped it all away.
Why, it's gone across the cluster,
for I have work to do today.
Today, I'm baking starcakes.

I've got no baking oven,
No mixers, dough, or yeast.
I choose to knead the stars instead
with plasmas for my feast.
My baking tools are people,
My oven fueled with tears,
and the pastry's sweet and airy,
filled with all your dreams and fears.
For today, I'm baking starcakes.

This is a poem about what most female capsuleers look like and how I would react if I was any good at space combat!

All those females
Looking horny in my killmails
Begging to me for my sex
Like a laviscuous ex

*****-slap em back to their clone bay
Or get raped the futuristic way
Damn girls put on some clothes
You all look like hoes!

They want my ISK
But that's not OK!
You have to work for it
And this line could have something naughty that rhymes with it but I won't do that to you guys.

Preparing for flame war...

This line for rent! YOUR AD HERE!
