What will happen if you switch to another corporation within the alliance as of right now. Will you still be able to join the AT?

Even if they say yes, would you really trust them now?

Don't switch till you have a mail from the AT team in triplicate.
A GM's answer could not be enough, you really need AT teams approval. Preferably in a stickied responce on the forums.

Ignore the trolls. As long as you don't leave your alliance at any point, moving corps is fine and doesn't disqualify you. Make sure to go direct from one corp to the other instead of dropping to a npc corp in between.

Sure, listen to Raivi. That is so much better than getting official confirmation.

Casting chicken bones or reading tea leaves is actually better than getting official confirmation.

Unsurprisingly we also seem to get changes in rules every year.

I'm also interested to know officially. If a player in my alliance by the cutoff date drops to an NPC corp even for a second it also DQ's him? If it's right corp to corp that is or isn't OK?

If he dropped to a NPC corp for a second you should get in touch with CCP and see if they'll allow it. Email evetv@ccpgames.com if you don't want to use the CSM communication paths for this stuff.

In that case I wouldn't put that character on the field unless you've received word from one of the devs on the tournament team.

On subjects of specific eligibility where people are following the spirit of the rules to the best of their ability (the cutoff date was put in place to prevent selling of tournament spots) exceptions have been made in the past. Obviously it will be up to the CCPers if they will make an exception in your alliance member's case.

The corp to corp question has come up before, it's always been allowed before and the rules have not changed in this area.

Rules might remain the same, but interpretation might vary.

That is one of the keypoints I am hinting at.
Since we read often things like "At our discretion" "as the referee believes" "As he sees it" "who we consider".

I would prefer something like "This is the rule, these are (possible) exceptions but only after communication both ways as to ensure a 100% conclusion to the issue"

If they want AT to be a showcase monument with rules then please chissle them into stone but also make sure they are:
A: Very clear.
B: Incase of possible (still) vague rules ensure there is communication both ways to get clarification.

Do they get the same responcetime or responce at all as the petitions made by Hydra?
In that case I would go for a lot of other options aswel.
Casting chicken bones or reading tea leaves seems a lot more viable then.

Also I fail to see what CSM paths have to do with AT.
It would be very bitter if the CSM hotline can be used by certain entities to gather information which is just as crucial to the rest but not shared in an official responce.
