Easy fix, only attack newbie ships in newbie systems, guaranteed destruction!

That would be griefing, which is unacceptable.

You are right, maybe you should hire some people for you to gank.

Suicide ganking isn't griefing, it is pvp.

Do you even fracking know what PvP stands for. Player vs Player. Your trying to equate a dessy and hulk to a ******* gang fight when its more or less like a dam lion killing a gazelle. There is not pvp in ganking, its strictly called ganking. pvp is the act of that player opposing you and fighting you. Short of mining the minerals off your hull not much he can do.

I like the guy's posting above, the wall of text, it was long and hard to follow but it made sense and that is exactly what I would like to see happen to eve. I don't oppose suicide ganking, but if you are going to do it than it should be just as difficult for you to recoop losses as the hulk pilot be it standings or isk or ships.

You are right about one thing, suicide ganking mechanic is broke, it needs fixed and to do this is going to require rebalancing so that it is neither gank friendly nor anti-ganking. At current you can kill an 800 mil orca and only risk a 300 mil T3. There should be a bit more balance to that side, if I lose an 800 mil orca and you lose a 300 mil T3; and assuming it takes me a long time to reaquire an orca for another shot at mining, then you in turn should take just as long to have another shot at ganking me again through standings loss.

Lets get CONCORD to start popping some -10 pods as well. I mean if I flew out to 0.0 in a pod I would assume to be podded, if you came into 1.0 with -10 you should prepare to feel the same.

A player shot another player, therefore it is player vs player aka pvp.
'Nuff said.

Honestly, I appreciate the gankers. So far my trial industrial attempt has been educational and surprisingly fun.

So close...

I know this is droning on about an intrinsic and widely cadenced theme but.. don't fly around in a ship you don't want to lose.

If you can't stand to lose the Hulk don't undock the Hulk, The ganker KNOWS he is going to lose his Catalyst or his Tornado and has knowingly accepted that loss (without compensation of insurance). He has come to terms with it. The hi-sec community needs to come to terms with it as well.

Allow me to repeat because this is important-

If you do not want to lose the Hulk don't undock the hulk. If you insist on doing so have the sense to take some precautions. For example, I don't know fit a tank. Or here's one, get some friends, go to low-sec, and mine all day under the cover of your friends guns. Oooh and another, talk to a PvP corp/alliance about paying them protection so you can keep you smugly shooting at asteroids all day under their protection..

Coming here and whining that a game mechanic is flawed and needs to be changed out of ignorance of your options or your flat out refusal to use those options is just dumb, no matter how many ******** stars you put in it.

Enjoy your day.

The ganker always loses their ship and doesn't always kill the target?!

Facts are suicide ganking is an inefficient method of asset destruction. It requires too much startup capitol and carries loads of secondary penalties.

CCP needs to rebalance EVE to make it more ganker friendly, not less.

Great, we lose 2 idiots, and get the old MNG back. I thought you were banned from ship toasting by your alliance? Or was it by UN Decree? If not, it should be a breach of the Human Rights Act for people to start bullshit threads.

Sadly, I don't think they'll do that. Quite the opposite actually ...

Unfortunately I agree, CCP is a business and as the majority of players are hi-sec PvErs or miners. They know where their money comes from.

Honestly just surprised they haven't said that war dec's already exist for hi-sec conflict so there is no need to allow ganking or was that one of the reasons for the update to the war dec system.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Well I think to balance this out, CCP needs to allow for afk ganking. Pirate
