Same issue here. I notice some correlation with it showing up after switching between accounts, but it's still random. Just noting that it doesn't take a full-on client restart to show up.

System Information:

Mac Pro (2 x 2.4 Ghz Quad-Core Xeon)
6GB RAM
OS 10.7.4 Lion
ATI Radeon HD 5870 (1024 MB)

I'm using a wired USB keyboard and mouse.

CCP: Any update on this? I only get it on one in 4 sessions, but when I get it, it's quite annoying. Also: Less often and not as persistent as the stuck mouse button is the stuck modifier key issue. Every now and then the client behaves as though a modifier key is being held down. Like you turn on a gun and your armor repper turns off instead. It can be cleared by tapping all the modifier keys, but its annoying.

The Client seems to keep track of the state keys and buttons that by looking for change events. But if it misses an event then it thinks the button state is different than it actually is. I would recommend that, maybe once per event loop cycle, the client directly check the button states and fix any issues. For example the Mac routine GetKeys tells you the current state of all keyboard keys.

We've had no luck reproducing this in house so if those that are affected could please try to get logs and send them to us via bug reports it would be greatly appreciated. Ideally we need logs that catch this phenomena starting, so if you could find the time to file a bug report as soon as you notice this bug occurring and mention in the bug description at what time (to the minute) it started this would be of great use to us.

There also seems to be no direct correlation in the data posted so far other than most reports involve a touchpad, so if you could please post any other potential factors here. Anything from what you were doing in client (launching drones, submitting a market order etc.) when the bug manifested to what language setting your OS is using might turn out to be useful.

I also recommend affected users try clearing all cache files, this can be done from the esc menu 'Reset Settings' tab and will nuke all client side settings.

edit: interested parties can open the in game monitor tool ctlr + alt + shift+ m and try to spot if an error is thrown when the bug triggers.

I am also having this problem. The mouse acts as if a click and release is a click and hold. Some modifier keys are behaving the same way. It has literally made the game unplayable for me. I am running a Macbook Air with Lion.

do these things not get tested?

The game runs with a mouse. Thats like Sony or Microsoft putting out a game that doesn't work with a controller lol.

The issue is none of the bug hunters or devs have this bug on their Macs (see dev post above). Ive had it a total of 4 times, and it has not happened for several days. Its not universal to all mac users, it does not seem to even be common but an issue that gets just a small part of the users.

I'm still having the issue. I'd say about 2 out of every there sessions. System details the same as the last posted.

I'm surprised that they are unable to replicate... Tried on older platforms?

As it stands the bug is game breaking for me in the most fundamental way: it affects every single part of my game play. I do hope this gets resolved sooner than later.

I had this same issue along with other issues with the OSX client.

Not accepting mouseclicks and randomly thinking mousebuttons are held down when they are not.
PC also runs at high fan speeds getting noisy and probably being very hot along with it.
Couldn't make $-signs in the client.
Game lagged like hell on low settings.

I did solve all of the above pretty easily. I installed BootCamp (again) and WIndows 7. Now everything runs smooth as butter, two clients at 1920*1200 with everything on high and fans running slow and quiet. Mouse and keyboard working normally now too.

I'm running a 2011 iMac 27"
Radeon HD 6970M
Core i5 @3,1GHz
16GB RAM
Magic Mouse, Logitech G700 and Danish Apple keyboard with numeric keypad.
OSX Lion with all updates installed up to date.

It all comes down to CCP not having the qualified staff for supporting an OSX client.
Seems Blizzard hawked all the good ones. Their clients are just perfect on the OSX platform.
