Hey,

just noticed this since its my monthly shopping day, so it seems lots of stocks got dumped. Do we have first data from the FW front and how they convert there points?

At least i'm happy i did not waste my time with collecting my own :)

If you did not collect you lost out.

Your RP buys half as much data cores as before the patch and on top you pay a 10k ISK fee.

If all of your research is in Star ship data cores you lucked out. You get 30% more data core's with the nominal fee of 10k ISK.

If all of your research is in Amarrian data cores you still may not have lost much. The Amarr will probably never get anywhere in FW and so will sit a Teir 1 permanently so will get x4 the base cost from their LP store. This should keep anything that you can get from Amarr FW propped up in value.

Frankly, given that diagoras said that something like 900,000 mechanical engineering datacores were redeemed the day before the patch, I doubt that the crash in price has been due to FW at all.

Yeah, about 7k of those were actually mine (on this character, yes, a single character), they've been piling up for ages. I don't plan to sell nor use them, not even move them away from the station I claimed them in (not in an AFK covops frig anyway, and I'll be damned if I want to ever even AFK that 6-leg 64-jump trip again in something else)... I'd just thought better claim them just in case. I can't even remember when I collected them last time (probably 2 or 3 years ago).

Right, case in point. Now consider how many people have had one or more idle characters sitting around collecting dust for years, and so on.

If you were researching a field where the datacores used to cost 50 RP each, then yes - you lost out. They now cost you 100 RP each to redeem, plus a ISK fee per datacore.

You gained, if you were in a 150 RP/datacore field as those prices dropped to 100 RP/datacore.

The others? Well, now you have to pay 100 RP for what you use to pay 100 RP for, but you also now have the per datacore fee.

Hrm.... I missed where some day cores now cost 100rp instead of 150. Do you know which cores these are or have a link to the information. Must have missed it in the notes.
There are numerous cores that are 20-40% lower than there lowest price in the past year. I have been buying up as much as possible but cores that are now producing 50% more...

You do know RP/day is halved right?

The ones that used to cost 150 are the ones that went from 150 to 100. Straight

Scroll down to "Research agents and datacore changes".

The ones that previously cost 150 were the ones that had a 3x multiplier for RP accumulation. So they did cost the same as the other datacores before and now they all have 1x multiplier and 100 RP cost. All cost got doubled and a tax added.

I don't see how thIs comment is relevant or accurate to my statement. If I wasn't on my phone I would link the other thread I found stating the cost comparison for redeeming fw for data cores last night as it points out that a lot of cores will keep record lows even after the redeeming crash. Which is unfortunate for me if it turns out because of how much I have invested in them ATM.

Edit: yes Ty for those pointing out the reduced cost for starship data cores. I did find it... Read right over it in the notes

I cannot understand some of the players out there when they are selling data-cores on the market.

As it now costs double the RP for DC + 10K ISK then why are they selling on the market the DC below the prices before the change.

Surely the selling price should be double the previous + 10K.

All of my agents previously offered Mech and Hydro @ 50RP each.

Players should hold onto DC to create a shortage thus driving the market prices up and driving the idiots out.

New competition from FW. Market's different. Also some RP bought more Datacores after the nerf than they did before.
