This is not the NPC corperation's Director, This is only a character name.

Once again this is ONLY A CHARACTER NAME>


and the only thing you can get banned for regarding your name is if:

a. Presents himself as a CCP employee, game master or other customer service representative, or a member of the EVE volunteer program.

and I'm also guessing if the name is racist etc

let me strip the (.) out the sentence so you can see it better.

"Impersonate or parody an NPC type from the EVE game world for the purpose of misleading other players."

It is not used for the purpose of misleading other players, and even states in the bio it is only a character name. Yes if I used the name to scam people then it would get banned. but I'm not misleading any player.

The assumption is that the name itself invokes a sense of misinformation, whether you purposefully did it or not, even if you stated it is not.

For instance, not everybody will read your bio, and newbies may actually confuse you as a GM. This kind of liability must be prevented entirely. I agree there should be name change.

Confuse me as a GM? all GM's have GM in there name and someone cannot create an account with GM in front of their name. Also all CCP employees have CCP in front of there name, and also cannot be created as such.

As far as I know unless I try and use this char for the purpose of misleading someone, AKA use its name to try and scam isk. (which I haven't and wont do) then I'm well within my rights to own this name.

No you cant have CCP Director as your name. As putting CCP before your name in the character creation will tell you that name is unavailable.

Plus I've had this name for nearly 5yrs now, If its a banned name why haven't they asked me to change it?

Either way atm it's not banned, so can we get back on topic lol.

Is the name worth anything? If not ill just keep it :D

You've had it for so long as you've kept it off the radar. I have an alt with a terrible terrible name that has no right to have that name. The only reason it still has it is because I've kept it under the radar. Your problem now is that you've posted on the forums with this alt asking for a price check of a unique named alt, looking to sell it because of that unique name. Just because you haven't scammed anyone with it, doesn't mean someone else won't have the same idea and won't try to buy it from you with that intention. CCP will remove the name and give you a general name which is fair for all and removes any doubt from the situation. Sorry for your loss, was a nice name to be honest.
