So the Goons ultimately want to break Eve... to save it?

Tbh it's a great storyline and kudos for pulling it off.

Uniting highsec-ppl to fight against that will be quite hard,
because when threats arise, most ppl tend to ignore/try to defend/give up,
instead of fighting against the enemy.

If they gained full control of ABC and ice, why stop at the moon?

Slade's dead on though... it's impossible to not sit back and stare in morbid fascination...

embargoing abc would be a pain in the ass

we simply embargo technetium, where we can easily check who owns what moon, and suddenly you can't make t2 ships (even after a tech nerf), or we embargo prom, or whatever is easiest to monitor

ice is much easier to control, it also has limited chokepoints that can be easily monitored

I can see your point, thank you.

I have to admit... this has the potential to be fascinating. Can it really be pulled off? Are you all really going to try?

Problem solved.

It seems some people think they can fight CCP with the gloves off. I wonder how much CCP is going to flex an iron fist to prove otherwise.
The way I see it they got two choices, kneel to the rebels or nuke 'em.

This is CCP's game afterall, it says so in your contract. These actions could be seen as a violation of said contract and could be a very fair and legal grounds for a perma I.P. ban.

By all means start wars, turn entire systems insideout but do it the right way as in not broadcasting you're trying to wreck the game as a whole. Right now that line is getting obscured.

What's going on is a minority is starting to make a negative impact on the game, they do this because they have people in the CSM. I kind of figured the CSM would breed contempt for the rules as the saying goes "power corrupts".

CCP showed weakness over some issues in the past now select players think they can abuse that fact.

The question is then: How far are you willing to push CCP?

Did someone spike your punch or something? P

Goons can use game mechanics to any means they want, if CCP does not like it, they will simply change the game mechanics.

Goons are already very familiar with this fact, and if this is what they really want to do, they are likely counting on CCP to do just that.

This is to be expected. Given a sandbox game where any size power bloc can be created, and used to whatever ends desired, entities such as Goonswarm were bound to form and have their lulz. Nothing here to be all that alarmed about.

I do think its ironic though, that by declaring Eve as being full of "rampant stagnation" and going on an all out campaign to embargo resources, attack highsec, and invade Delve, they are creating quite the firestorm of activity, giving many players some much needed excitement and / or something to do.

How one promotes stagnation by engaging in the very large-scale conflicts they say are dwindling, is a little beyond my understanding. But I'm just an armchair observer, I just gather bits and pieces from news articles, forum chatter, and the occasional pompous Mittani tweet. Maybe someone in GSF can better explain how you further stagnate a "stagnating" game by kickstarting a combined military push and market manipulation scheme across Empire while simultaneously reclaiming some hotly contested territory. What happened to Mittani's statement that nullsec resources weren't worth the hassle of claiming and holding Sov?

This is why I stay out of such things and just stick to my corner of the universe....

When/if they control all of null there won't be any combat to be had. Stagnation.

Actually stomach bug and 2h sleep in the last 36. I wouldn't mind a heavily spiked drink lol.
I'm serious though, select CSM members are getting to cocky for their own good & the good of the game.

Was going to type out a reply about how CCP are gutless otherwise most null sec alliances would have been ripped apart by having large numbers of their players banned for Booting / RMT but then realised I don't care.

Its a game.

Goons + friends win = Dead Eve

Goons + friends fail = Eve carries on as normal.

Either way , who gives a ****.

Ugh, I've had serious cases of norovirus like three times in the past ten years and it nearly landed me in the ER twice, hope you get well soon Geal!

But I mean, yes, they are probably enjoying themselves to a degree for sure. But whether they are going beyond the EULA by claiming they want to monopolize the entire game just to cause CCP to address the issues they feel need addressing... well... CCP cannot really ban people for playing the game, can they?

I think it'd be cool if all or at least most of high sec united to take on the DCF to free the monopolized resources. It would make for a hell of a story! Unfortunately, I think most folk would rather roll over and die (no longer log in). Their own fault if they don't want to fight the good fight!

When you consider who has the supers and who doesn't... makes it a little more challenging than most people are willing to accept.

...Just want to double check - the problem is lack of reason to fight in nullsec. The solution - to take over all of nullsec through military and economic force? Isn't that like saying saying we're going to protest peace through a violent revolution, only to take control to implement more peace again?

To say it'll all be over soon and back to boringtown - is to make the blanket assumption that any campaign by the GSF will be 100% successful and take a minimal amount of time to achieve. (Probably true, but we dont really need to feed the egomachine.)

I say, in the meantime, until the GSF's plan comes to fruition it looks to me like Eve's stagnation problems are solved. :)

there is literally no reason to fight in 0.0 anymore, and fighting is horrendous grinding of sov structures so "fun" sure isn't one of those reasons

the dcf is a demonstration of how utterly unfun fighting in 0.0 is

goons used to ******* love fighting in 0.0, people would be excited as **** over how fights went and taking key systems and the like

Like I have already pointed out, their current actions benefit botters and RMT'ers greatly. Since this isn't a court of law intent is largely irrelevant. .

Confirming, the invasion of Delve is merely so the Sov map has a slice labeled - Goon?
