So the Goons ultimately want to break Eve... to save it?

Most interesting read, can't judge how factual it is though. However, it appears that there's a long term goal to push Eve to a point of stagnation in order to break it badly enough that CCP will have no choice but to fix it, or let it die.

Quote:
In truth, the end result of all of this pairing off and conquering is a goal which has been conjured by the CSM. A statement of absolute meaning to CCP: Fix EVE. Fix EVE fast or we'll stagnate the game to the point where there'll be no wars, no need to fight and no need to play. It's a vicious message, a brutal message and it should, hopefully, be significant.

But there is profit to be made here. Money for the man with a keen eye. Control of all of null-sec under a large coalition allows certain resources to be controlled outright. Embargoes on resources result in hi-sec and low-sec being starved of crucial materials needed to build ships and continue the cycle of production and destruction that keeps the EVE Online economy functioning.

You see this? This is why they suddenly are so concerned about mythical "daytrippers" mining ABC in wormholes and want ABC removed from them. This is why they want ice removed from high sec.

Small wheels in a long term plan, not to benefit Eve, at least in the short run, but to push their agenda. The real question is... these are Goons. Are they really ultimately trying to save Eve, or is this the ultimate Goon Eve agenda... to bring it all crashing down and laugh as they transfer to their next MMO victim?

Same with military training. You need to break them down in order to build them up.

All they want is attention. And since they got themselves in the CSM, they got real gluttons for it.

Nothing to be taken serious.

We should start an embargo on tinfoil. We would literally be shitting ISK right now.

Quite a few work at CCP and in high positions for game direction etc. So CCP trolls itself now?

Please substantiate this or is it just another "my friend has a brother. who knows..." statement?

Yeah, but in theory, CCP's quick fix to any such embargoed resources is to add the resources to high-sec or to buff resource gathering ships. Meaning, the level of effort needed to control null-sec doesn't mean much if CCP can counter by simply tweaking a few database entries.

If you want to "force" CCP to do something, then go after subs and hit CCP in the pocket book.

P.S. Generic tinfoil isn't worth the money. Use the name-brand stuff instead. IME/IMHO.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

They did that even before any Goons worked for them. Its kind of their SOP.

Soundwave (Stoffer Ninjapirate) and Sreegs (Darius JOHNSON) are ex-Goons.

They have two choices, burn it all to the ground (much more entertaining I must say) or conquer and/or establish a game wide win where no one is left with anything to do but sit idly by and pray CCP breaks the stalemate.

The former option, one that is near and dear to my heart as the plan I would go for given the opportunity, is not possible in today's EVE because not enough people would agree to it.

The latter, can be foisted upon the player base by anyone with enough clout and power. What is stopping them? If they do not do it, DRF will.

I say let them, we can all both hate and cherish the fact that they are on the one hand attempting to willfully ruin the game for the rest of us and on the other hand calling CCP's bluff on whether or not CCP will wake up and smell the coffee before it's too little too late.

I know I for one, rather dislike the idea of being on the receiving end of what may or may not be their grand design, but the game will indeed be better for it, if the plan succeeds. If they fail, the game goes down with them and they have made a new name for themselves in a most bombastic way.

Plus Goons are only out to ruin YOUR game. From the sounds of it they are having a blast playing.

If they are using game mechanics to do this then by all means take it to the moon. It will be an interesting ride for sure.

If they gained full control of ABC and ice, why stop at the moon?

embargoing abc would be a pain in the ass

we simply embargo technetium, where we can easily check who owns what moon, and suddenly you can't make t2 ships (even after a tech nerf), or we embargo prom, or whatever is easiest to monitor

ice is much easier to control, it also has limited chokepoints that can be easily monitored

Exactly, given enough clout and power I would make the same decisions as they may or may not be making, what with the general state of the game and all, it could not really do more than accelerate whatever is going to happen anyways, and I for one have waited two years since Dominion for CCP to at least address the issues they introduced.

I neither would wish POS spamming back onto players nor desire for the current trend to continue... which leaves two options, destroy everything I can get my hands on, or just simply stop participating in the grand space opera, convince (or force in this case) as many others as I can to do exactly the same, and sit and wait for CCP to crap a brick, pull all the stops, and finally do something legitimate and tangible about it.

Stoic is right though, it would have to be excessively drastic and effectual (in this case he argues that it is not) for CCP to take action, otherwise the only real way to get their attention is through subscriptions.

So the Goons are crashing the production of POS and cap fuel, and driving the T2 prices through the roof?

Well, that means no more POS-bashing, no more supercaps online, no more Zealot/Guardian fleets. Still can't see the downside.

Disband the CSM, ban the rebel leaders.
Problem solved.

It seems some people think they can fight CCP with the gloves off. I wonder how much CCP is going to flex an iron fist to prove otherwise.
The way I see it they got two choices, kneel to the rebels or nuke 'em.

This is CCP's game afterall, it says so in your contract. These actions could be seen as a violation of said contract and could be a very fair and legal grounds for a perma I.P. ban.

By all means start wars, turn entire systems insideout but do it the right way as in not broadcasting you're trying to wreck the game as a whole. Right now that line is getting obscured.

What's going on is a minority is starting to make a negative impact on the game, they do this because they have people in the CSM. I kind of figured the CSM would breed contempt for the rules as the saying goes "power corrupts".

CCP showed weakness over some issues in the past now select players think they can abuse that fact.

The question is then: How far are you willing to push CCP?
