Give Faction Guns/Launchers a Buff

Currently, faction weapons damage output is lower compared to the T2 equivalent. Given their expense, they're pretty much useless for all excluding low SP players with too much iskies.

I propose faction weapons be given a buff to be say, 5% higher in DPS output compared to the T2 equivalent, and possibly even be capable of using T2 ammo, while still maintaining the same fitting requirements they have now. This would justify the expense of equipping these items, while giving that nice shiny faction ship you just spent a billion isk a nice sexy slot full of high slot pain throwers.

I know I'd run out and buy up some faction guns if they were worth the time.

Assuming that their price tag doesn't spike to rediculous numbers do to buffing them, right?

Impossible. They're tied into tag/LP price, the entire tag/LP pool acts as buffer. It's also the reason why those sucky guns are already at ridiculous prices.

Easy solution: treat all meta 5+ guns as t2, including specialization skill bonus, skill requirement, and ammo usage.

even easier solution is to balance the tag requirements to drop rates and gun size levels. 20+ tags in game to be used in each lp store, 11 are used and 4 are choke points for every module in the LP store. whut?

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

I don't know... faction launchers seem great. Good fitting and fast RoF. And much less training time that T2...

Also cost 100x as much as t2, and can't use t2 ammo. By the time a poor noob can afford it, t2 has long since finished training.
