I've probably been playing this game far, far longer than you have.

I've caused someone to lose money because of manipulation I did. That's PVP.
I've driven someone out of an asteroid belt because I kept mining his roids out from under him. Still PVP.
I've griefed someone out of their mission by warping in and salvaging/stealing their wrecks. Still PVP.
I've shot a titan with over a thousand other people. Still PVP.
I've shot a 5b faction missioning ship for his modules. Guess what? It's still PVP.

The fact you're apparently not treating language as accurately as you could've doesn't make me wrong. Ganking (which a PVP-fit ship vs a PVE-fit ship would be labelled) is still PVP.

Cyno's lit, bridge is up, but one pilot won't be jumping home.

I would say, if the Freighter pilot was AFK, then yes you might have an arguement that that is PvE.

no matter how you look at it though. The Indy ship is player controlled. He fitted it. He made the decisions. By this fact alone. Ganking and shooting indies, and all that bla bla bla can only be considered PvP. Yes risk free, noobish, and downright cowardly but still PvP.

It is. What price do you pay for getting blown up? Cannot it not be measured purely in terms of ISK and inconvenience?

Is is not a pvp "win" to defeat more expensive ships, even while losing a larger number of cheap ones? Is it not a "win" to make billions of ISK sheerly from buying low and selling high? What was the actual difference in the two acts, aside from animation?


In life, you are real and have important and unique human qualities. Death is meaningful. Here it just costs you ISK and time.

yeah your right that is a bad comparison, because the guy sitting in station can undock in something with dps and tank. where as the cloaky guy uncloaks in a paper thin bomber or a crappy dps cloaky recon ship/T3

and the bad at ganking, do you mean high sec ganking or nul sec pvp? because those are two dif things. Someone sees a neutral or red in local out in nul sec 90% of them dock up and the other 10% jump through a jump bridge... or in WH space they see something on D scan they POS up and log off. How are you suppose to kill that?

atleast in WH space you can sit next door, scan them down with probes quickly and then warp your dps ship on top of them, if you do that in nul sec everyone sits in a station and logs on to the forums and QQs about afk cloakys.

Actually, it's m ore like 90% dock up/hide in a POS, 10% spend enough time that a good ganker can find and lock them down, as evidenced by the fact people keep dying every day in their ratting ships to roaming gangs.

or those 10% think their safe at a jump bridge POS in a carrier and get bumped out because everyone in nul sec has the FF password lmao, i loved watching that.

I also find it ironic how someone can post on an alt and respond to someone "How long have you been playing this game?" when they don't even post on your main character.

If you have nothing to hide i don't get why people don't post on their main...
