FYI Hulkageddon May Be Permanent - REDUX

So, my original thread posted here this morning somehow found itself disappeared from reality recently. No warning, no email, no ban, no nothing.

Just DELETED outright without a sound.

I remember someone posting about disappearing Threads the other day and didn't believe it but it is indeed quite true.

So here is the mirror that I did manage to find, so that we can continue the dialogue from there (although it isn't REALLY a dialogue thread, more an infor passing thread).

Wow. CCP. Just wow. It could have at least been jsut locked, but there are jsut some things they do not want out there I guess.

This kind of censorship is exactly one of the reasons I am unsubbing (As you well know, lol).

Hi Krixtal welcome back! I'm glad you found the courage to stay, especially after your embarrassing forums-wide temper tantrum. Did those droves of supporters you said were going to quit as well change their minds as well? Were you the only one who lacked the fortitude to follow through?

I prefer it when threads or posts just disappear vs actual moderation.

I look at it this way:

Deletion is an invitation to repost.

The deleted post 'never existed'. And without CCP notification, for all you know it might have been a forum bug that caused it to disappear. (Likely in fact, with this sorry excuse for a 'new improved' forum.)

Because users have no idea whether or not it was actual moderation, talk about it and repost all you like.

At least until CCP grows up and returns to simply locking threads and editing obscene/offensive posts.

Remember when that guy posted a video of a pig getting his head sawed off with chainsaw after Incarna? That was awesome.

I almost hope CCP does something stupid and outrageous again so we can relive those moments.

Of course, they'll need to let us post pictures directly to forum posts for it to be as good as it was.

The only thing I did not like about this podcast is when he said that goons are evangelicals christians and are good christians.. He then said before that is goon is all about griefing and being bad. That does not fly while trying to say your a good christian it makes no sense what so ever. Thought that is true with all christans saying one thing do another and go against what it means to be a Christian. Jesus would never say the pioint of my alliance (apostles and folowers) is to help the less fortunate and also to blow em the frak up and kill em. Shocked

Suicide ganking is always an option.

However, if hulkageddon becomes permanent, people will get tired of it and go back to their day jobs. Miners will go back to mining. It might be a possible career choice to gank exhumers to claim a goonswarm-backed bounty on them, but I don't think the margin will cover that many thrashers. Especially if just one or two tanked hulks can ruin your margin on that set of bounties.

CONSPIRACY THEORY TIME.
Goons are backing hulkageddon because they're cutting a profit on it. They sell technetium, right? That's a key part of T2 production. Exhumers are T2 ships. Thus, by increasing the demand for T2 exhumers and the T2 modules on them and the gank ships, they're making a profit in the long run!
OMG. ECONOMICS.

I don't think CCP deletes entire threads. It was a bug dude, chill out. BB coding can go wrong at times.
