Currently, when you launch the launcher/patcher it lists how many chars are online in Eve.

Once Dust arrives will that change? Suggestion:

Online:
Flyboys: nn,nnn
Grunts: nn,nnn

But, seriously, one hopes CCP won't take the route of one combined online count...

DUST 514 will be the first part of eve that people will be able to cheat to win more then isk because its a first person shooting type game. I hope they have a strong anit cheat department.

eh, if they dropped the Unreal Engine ( i really hate the unreal engine, don't know why) , and coded the game like they coded eve, then i can think of quite a few "cheat"-programs that would die in a fire if they tried to work with DUST.

but no, form the looks of it, its going to be coded like any other game, no spaghetti-in-a-blender code-lines, so people will cheat.

The reason people don't "cheat" in Eve isn't because of the way the game is coded, its because a computer couldn't help you with inputs, and nothing of value (like damage multis) can be changed when everything is stored and calculated server side.

Even then, we have bots in Eve. I'd class that as cheating IMHO.
