This document contains all you ever wanted to know about the nullsec hidden belt mining system. Any additional questsions I can answer here. This document first began at the launch of Dominion way back when, and has been massively popular as a guide of what to expect in nullsec.

Version 1 has seen 28k downloads and translations into Russian and German
Version 2 has seen 9.3k downloads and wasn't as widely publicized
Version 3 has just been released

We felt compelled to release an updated version of the report after we discovered CCP stealth buffed the hidden belts. They've doubled and tripled the high-end ores in the belts (as detailed on pages 21-22). We've also seen the release of tech 2 mining ganglinks which have sped up our cycle times, and thus our overall yields. With the crackdown on bots, removal of drone region loot, and the process of hulkageddon and other market speculation... mining profits have never been higher.

In nullsec you can now achieve 55mil/hr per miner in constant income. I hope this document can convince you that you should be mining.

Thanks a lot for the work you've put into this! I'll be pouring over the info in the morning at work!

On a cynical side note, does anyone else find it curious the buff to null-sec mining by CCP? Blink

When did this happen? I'm skeptical, to say the least, of the idea that it was recent, particularly that it was an attempt to offset the loss of the drone regions. The very issue with the drone regions in the first place was that they were oversupplying everything by a massive amount and making minerals worthless - why would CCP want to offset some of that? A buff much longer ago after deciding maybe grav anomalies weren't quite good enough makes more sense.

e: I was told by multiple independent sources while looking into my question that the buff to grav sites occurred in December. While I applaud you and your group for your work on this resource, I would also encourage you to take care not to misrepresent the information within. Blink

This is quite true. The changes were months ago. They're not actually related to drone loot nerfs. It was more from a time when Mittens and the CSM were pushing to nerf the grav sites in WHs. I don't believe that was ever done either. We've been mining ice this whole time, so we never saw any of the hidden belts. But you are right, the changes were from a long time ago. I just never got around to updating the report

WHs weren't nerfed because the WH crowd pushed back saying we have no proof that they're significant, blah blah blah.

We have proof now.

Cool

It is safe to say the Crucible buff to belts were part of the planning process to nerf drone regions. Just because it didn't happen in the same programming cycle doesnt mean they werent related. Give CCP some credit here guys, or atleast benefit of the doubtt, my take it was a teaser to try and get people interested in mining again... atleast those that were willling to put up with and come back lol...

Hello.

I think i find a little mistake in the report, and i would like to know how is it actually :)

I cant really confirm it or tell where is the mistake, but when i count all ores from lvl 5 gravimetric, it is 15 804 000,00, but you say the whole belt is 16,92 mil m3. So, is there mistake in the text, or there is different list of ores in the site ?

I cant really see the actual list of ores, since we never had lvl 5, i was using the numbers you provided.

Thanks

This is a scan of the giant belt:

http://dl.eve-files.com/media/1205/giantbelt2.jpg

Page 17 of the report, where all the ore composition for the giant belt is listed doesn't seem to have been properly updated between reports. The bistot is actually 230k instead of 160k. When transcribing from my spreadsheets, I must have misread from the wrong column and wrote down the bistot from the xlarge belt, instead of the giant belt. All the charts in the report are correct however, as they were derived directly from accurate data tables.
