I've actually considered joining the OP's corp and eventually flagged it as unstable, but i do agree with the reasons for leaving the game.

5 years ago, in 2007...
...ransoms were honored, making more profitable to be a pirate (and a victim).
...scammers mostly invested time and personal interaction on their activity.(
...alts were much less common both ingame and in the forums.

It looks that as the game became more polished and functionality was added the community got worse.

I have a hole host of reasons, but i am done, i have put up with alot of shite from ccps constant f ups and screw ups and im tired of playing an MMO where the makers do not listen to the players at all.

It is quite clear that with dust coming and whitewolf making a new game they simple dont care about eve anymore. Personally i belive they are going to let eve destroy itself.

No u cant have my stuff because i already gave it all away to a brand new player in Emrayur last night. I am not nerd rage quitting, i have given this months of thought and have been logging in less and less. i have simply had enough :)




If I am completely honest I too am at breaking point, and considering wether or not to stay, also a fellow 03 player.

I'd like to wish you happyness and good fortune in what ever you end up doing next.

Reasons:

1. Massive rise in carebears calling other players "griefers" because any sort of non-consensual PvP is now "griefing"
2. Massive rise in e-honour "pirates"
3. Highsec is too safe
4. Incursions and L4s have made 0.0 pointless for the line member
5. The EVE forums are full of entitled carebears wagging their fingers and crying about wardecs and suicide ganks and nobody bothers to inform them that that is how the game works, rather, they are joined by a chorus of more entitled carebears
6. Can't game the market without carebears whining about being undercut and threatening to report you for .01 isking them
7. Too many people think the game is only about missions and mining
8. The new war system is a step in the right direction but it's too easy to dodge wars
9. People whine about the new inventory UI for all the wrong reasons
10. Carebears moan about TEST and Goonswarm as if they are omnipotent alliances that will never fall
11. Highsec is now pointless as everyone just hugs stations and evades wardecs
12. Highsec is headed towards consensual-only PvP
13. People moan about subcap hulls being overpowered when they've only recently become relevant outside of highsec with the much needed supercapital nerf

14. Most of all I am sick of carebears moaning to CCP and forcing their hand into breaking the game to suit them by nerfing sanctums, buffing highsec PvE and consequently killing a huge part of the game

That is not entirely correct Doc. CCP are making changes to the new UI already, to try and make sure they retain the same usefulness and functionality of the original set-up, while retaining the new and more flexible system. These changes are being made in response to player requests.
