Hi, I'm new to eve and have already begun planning my skill for my future career.
The Information that I require is what ship is preferable for exploring in lowsecs that can be fitted with a good cloaking technology and also intended for scanning and exploration purposes.

My first intention was to go for Helios but I'm not quite sure. I would like a ship that can do exploration runs in solo (doesn't mean it is able to clear sites from pirates, drones, etc) and maybe scout the enemies in the sites without being known.

Also, what skills do you recommend for an explorer and maybe some advices?
Thanks!

T3 cruiser for low-sec/null and an AF for hi-sec.

Its actually a multifunctional question.

For me, I recently skilled into a T3 that can do scanning and cloaking/warping and low DPS that's good enough for high sec and low sec but not yet for null. Before, I was running two accounts, one to scan and one to pewpew. Some people do reships. That is different from being able to cloak and not warp. Running gatecamps and bubbles are super important aspects to my setup/general lifestyle.

Once you are in low and null the sites are a lot harder to find. You want things like your scanning frig/cruiser with bonuses, your scanning rigs, your sisters launcher and probes, your scanning skills to be up to find the sites. Those skills don't have to be as good in high sec as they do in low and they need to be better in null to find things.

Then there is how hard your sites are going to be. Exploration is its nice little mini profession but you have to put time into yourself to do the higher grade sites. For high sec you are going to have an easier time then in low/null. For one, you don't need a cloak in high.

If you are fit to reship you can use something nice and scannie to scan the sites down and then reship to pewpew them. Assult frigs are amazing for handling stuff and nice, nimble, and fast. The high sec sites are not impressive when it comes to the size of the red crosses to shoot at. The deeper you go into low and then null the bigger the redcrosses also grow.

Its fun and can be financially lucrative very quickly as you work on improving your skills.

For the Probing part I would suggest Covert Ops ship. This ship gets bonuses to probing and can fit covert ops cloaks (warp while cloaked).

Soon as you have the signal you can reship to a ship that can do the site itself

(Exploration means you have to be mobile and likely have couple of ships each for different target)

Thanks for all the inputs!
As I'm new to eve and haven't grasp the overall concept yet, i think im going to go with this advice and some "learn as you play" approach.
a covert ship and scanning equipments from the sisters faction sounds like the best option to me.

Start with a Cov Ops and another ship to clear the sites. As mentioned, in the long run a T3 can do both.

Will keep that in mind, thank you!
