Gallente PVP Setup Advice

Hi, I'm Kind of new to pvping, and I've been looking around at setups for a gallente frigate.

From all the setup's I've seen the one I was looking at going with was this for an Incursus

[Incursus, gank]
Damage Control II
200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I

1MN MicroWarpdrive I
Fleeting Progressive Warp Scrambler I
'Langour' Drive Disruptor I

Light Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S

Hybrid Collision Accelerator I
Hybrid Burst Aerator I
[empty rig slot]

Hobgoblin II x1

If anyone has any recommendations for modifications please let me know

My Big question here is, I always see Light Electron blasters...not Ion or Neutron...well why not?
I know Ion and Neutron

besides the slightly slower tracking speeds and longer recycle times the damage multipliers way higher and so is the range

Light Electron II has a damage multiplier of 2.205 x
Light Ion II has a damage multiplier of 3.54### x
Light Neutron has a damage multiplier of 4.41 x

I was just hoping someone could explain to me if the tracking speeds and recycle times are really enough to make a difference or why it is all the setups I'm seeing are for a Light Electron instead of the other two. I' really appreciate it.

Thanks

People don't fit neutron's on incursus because it takes half your Pg. And with recent changes to bonus , it's pretty clear that it isn't intended to field massive gank.

As for your fit , you should look into the changes they made to it , it now has a armor rep bonus , maybe it's worth it to fit a small rep instead of a plate ? Also , why is one of your rig slot empty , you should stick an armor rig in there.

[Incursus, Incursus fit]

F85 Peripheral Damage System I
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Adaptive Nano Plating II

1MN Afterburner II
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator

Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S

Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I

Try something like this. Depending on what you are fighting, you may want to overheat your ab and kite with null, or get right in close and use close range ammo.

First thing you can do is fill the other two low slots.

3 days ago it got a buff and it now has 4 lows.

I haven't tested anything yet but I have been thinking this as an AB Frigate.

[Incursus, Incursus fit]

200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Small Armor Repairer II
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Damage Control II

Limited 1MN Afterburner I
Stasis Webifier II

Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S

Small Hybrid Collision Accelerator I
Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Small Anti-Explosive Pump I

Right now I'm looking at all the options, so far thank you very much guys, the advice so far is great, I'm looking at what will work on battleclinic right now, but I didn't notice the 4 low slots now, that's awesome

Again thank you very much so far

and I don't know what an AB frigate is...so I can't say one way or another...sorry

A Ship that uses an AfterBurner as it's primary mode of transportation. Their are two modes of propulsion common to PvP the other is the Micro Warp Drive (MWD).

The Afterburner gives a bit more then double your speed at a small loss of agility costs little capacitor. Very basic concept, press button ship goes faster.

The Micro Warp Drive gives you much, much greater speed but your size and mass is largely increased making you easily hit by enemy fire, it takes a lot more cap and cuts a bit of your base amount of cap, is harder to fit and can be shut off by a warp scrambler. Not usually good to keep it running when you don't need it.

The Afterburner is fr close combat making you harder to hit while the MWD is to get you into range, keep advantageous distance or escape. The MWD is used on almost all ships above Frigate while Frigate often go either way. Afterburners on bigger ships are usually accompanied by an MWD. Their are various exceptions to these fitting styles ship to ship.

Oh yeah, no after looking at it I'd prefer AB anyways because on top of that I'd be running the risk of draining the capacitor as well. thank you fro the Clarification though.

I was just looking and would maybe a Small hybrid Metasis Adjuster? I mean would tracking speed effect how often I'm gonna hit them? or is that more of accuracy

*EDIT*

After doing some reviewing I'm going to use 100mm rolled tungsten plates and 3 Light Ion II's, With neutrons the Power grid requirement is too high for the incursus.

That is a very bad idea. The fit I gave you fits a 200mm plate and neutrons.

If you ever find yourself fitting 50 or 100mm plates to anything, you have done something very wrong.

Well hopefully when I get my skill up to be able to equip Tier 2 in a couple days I'll know if I can fit a 200mm but I can't equip most tier 2 modules that you put in the set up, otherwise it would likely be more viable.

If you cant use the t2, then use meta 3 or 4, as price permits.

Since this is still a PVP setup test run I'm sticking with Meta 3's unless 4's are cheaper, I though 5mil was enough for now :P

Good fits from Alara (as usual) and Hail Goddess.

New Incursus looks extremely viable for cheap lowsec roaming fun!
